"Ultimate Warrior WWE Classic Superstars 12"

By: Carlos Mejia
Review Date: Friday, January 19, 2007

Ultimate Warrior was a professional wrestler who reigned on top of the WWE in the late 80s and early 90s. Billed from “Parts Unknown” the character of the Warrior was surrounded in mystery and sometimes left fans scratching their heads instead of cheering their heads off. Nonetheless the Warrior was a popular wrestler and fans remember him for his running, shaking the ring ropes, outfits and at the same time try to forget all of the weird stuff he did or said.

This is the 12th series in WWE Classic Superstars from JAKKS Pacific, with seemingly no end in sight. Collectors cannot get enough of this line, and apparently they can’t get enough of the Ultimate Warrior.

This is the seventh Ultimate Warrior figure that JAKKS has made in this series including variants, and exclusives including series 1, 3, 8, 12, a Toys R Us two pack with Hulk Hogan, ToyFair 1 of 100 exclusive, Internet 1 of 5 exclusive, but don’t go searching the Internet to find the last two, they do exist, trust me! Despite Warrior being one of the most frequently made characters in this line, each figure of him offers a whole new costume and time period of his career. Here in series 12 marks the Warriors return to the ring in 1996 when he defeated Triple H in a matter of seconds. Warrior came back in a new look, the look you see here in a blue brown and red long sleeveless coat and matching face paint, trunks, boots and tassels. The body is the series standard of 18 points of articulation and comes with the WWE championship title. Also if you’re a JAKKS fan and have been keeping up with their Wrestlemania promotion ticket giveaway (each figure comes with a Wrestlemania ticket, you need all of them to get a mail away figure), this figure comes with the WM 18 ticket.

Fans of the series are bound to get this figure, but for anyone who remembers the golden days of wrestling will probably remember Warrior being one of their favorites. Today the man behind the make-up is a bit odd, but that shouldn’t take away from the over the top character that only he and the WWE could dish out to us.

This seems like a worthy addition to the handful that is already floating around.

Indeed... As crazy as the guy is made out to be... He is still cool.

'Made out to be'? Love him or hate him, this guy was - and still is a nutcase!

Watch him use other wrestlers' signature moves as if they were his own! Wrestling used to be so great back in the day. Of course, I used to be so young and stupid, so maybe that's a contributing factor.

haha even now i can see his 'roid-inflamed muscles bulging between dangerously thin neon streamers
