Universal acquires "Fiasco Heights"

According to Variety, Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to the upcoming thriller, Fiasco Heights.

The film, which will be produced by Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes from a script by Kyle Ward, occurs in a stylized hyper-real noir environment akin to that of Sin City and centers on a notorious hitman who teams with a failed private eye in search of a missing woman and an invaluable briefcase.

No word on casting or a possible director as of yet.

Hey, let's make a movie like Sin City! Same style and everything! It'll be a huge hit! How can we lose?
At least the movie's title will provide the sarcasm-prone with easy fodder...

Interesting that it's going to be in the style of Sin City, but only got the green light after 300 kicked ass at the box office.

Those guys stole my idea. I was going to write a script called "Fiasco Hills", about a ghetto slum area in Chicago. Of course, I'm joking. Just want to see if any of you thought I was serious. April Fools, on the ninth day of the month.
