With THE SCORPION KING hitting screens today, it seems everyone involved is talking about the creation of the MUMMY series prequel, and some surprising admissions are being made.
While talking to NEWSWEEK magazine, Universal Pictures Chairwoman Stacey Snider revealed she decided to put KING into production to keep the MUMMY series on track.
"This is one of the only movies I can think of that was completely engineered to extend the franchise," Snider said. "We acted - I don't want to say recklessly, but certainly precipitously."
The piece also revealed the studio is already thinking about SCORPION KING 2.
