Universal Pictures may be going into development circles with the Bourne series but that won't stop them from bringing more C.I.A thrillers onto the big screen. Variety reports the studio has Scott Stuber's thriller Safe House, which centers on the government agency. David Guggenheim set up the project at the studio.
Plot Concept: The story centers on a young house sitter of a CIA-run safe house who must help a criminal, who's being hidden there, avoid being killed as they flee to another secure facility when the first house is destroyed by villains who want the witness dead.

16 Blocks ... my thoughts exactly. I think if an elevator pitch of a movie sounds exactly like another movie, maybe they shouldn't make it or at least re-tool it a bit.
