They simply may not have the rights for it though, as they may be retained by CPM even if CPM is defunct.

ADV Films has put out their very basic solicitation information for the month of July and it contains some interesting titles to it. While the company hasn't announced anything new in terms of content not licensed in the US before, they have taken part in picking over the bones of CPM and coming away with a few "new" titles from that direction. Rescues this time around (with more probable) include MD Geist, Now and Then Here and There, Grave of the Fireflies and World of Narue. Add those to another round of re-releases of previously issued titles and there's a decent little run of titles to check out here.

I seriously hope that Sentai/ADV Films doesn't strip the extras out of Grave Of The Fireflies (the interview with Roger Ebert made a nice companion piece in CPM's double-disc re-release back in late 2002). If they do, then I have a bad feeling about what they're going to do to future re-releases. (Dare I say bastardizations? Of course I do.)
