The answer to that is simple my friend, he was busy running an ad agency, drinking, smoking and banging chics left and right.  Now its time to be Supes.

I wouldn't have a problem with Hamm as Supes or Batman for that matter. Hell, Don Draper is only baby steps from being Bruce Wayne anyways. They kind of acknowledged that in the first episode, I think.

With that said, I could also go for a return of Routh. I felt the same way I felt about Clooney as Batman; if he had been given a better script with a director who actually understood what a good Batman (or in Routh's case, Superman) movie should be, he would have done a great job.

But, I have to be honest, I'm rooting for Welling. Let the next Superman movie pick up where Smallville leaves off. With a good director, great script and a real budget, this would be huge.

X-men: could care less, there is NOTHING they can tell me to convince me that X-men: First Class is worth watching. Seeing as they're making an X-men movie WITHOUT the X-men. 

Superman: too early to tell, but I'm sure he'll do a good job, especially if Nolan has his hands on it.

Transformers 3: I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually looking forward to it.

Spiderman: FINALLY, someone who's taking Spiderman seriously !! And no Sam Raimi didn't . Anybody who makes Peter Parker strut through downtown Manhattan like an idiot, or get back someone by *snicker* skating across the floor on a chair and dancing to jazz, is not taking it seriously.

Clearly the best thing about Superman Returns .... I surely hope Warners see the positives of giving Routh the cape back as he pulled it off perfectly ... and lets all quietly move away from Singers bastard film.

Jon Hamm is a great actor, but Joe Manganiello may be a good choice.  He has the height (6 foot 5) and build.

I say this mainly because i agree with most of what he has been comentating about over the past few years from his Mania post. We disagree from time to time but he noramlly manages to nail things on the head first time out.

I seriously think its a great move to go with an older actor for Superman. I mean how old is Christian Bale as Batman? Think about it. Bottom line its time to have a film with MAN of steel so we can totally forget the fiasco with Routh in SuperBOY Returns. (So glad I never saw that piece of crap.)
