Update: Considine Doesn't Wants PUNISHER 2 Dead

Update: Now, it seems we have a Jigsaw but not Paddy in the role. Apparently, Lionsgate has decided to go with their original choice for the character in the sequel and has withdrawn their offer to Paddy Considine according to a new report. Here's what the actor had to say on being taken out of the running from Lionsgate..

The original choice for Jigsaw dropped out, then they offerered it to me. I'm very dubious because the other films looked shite. Then whoever is responsible said that their original choice has decided to do it, therefore pulling my offer. The only blessing was that I didn't waste an hour of my life reading the script. That be the way of the film world.

Who cares is right. Another lesser known actor for a role in the PUnisher. If they don't make this a hard core R this film is going to bomb, no actors known enough to market it on their names and the Punisher character isn't mainstream enough either.
I hope War Zone turns up good since known actors aren't needed to make a good film, but I would like to see it do well in the B.O. so we get a third film, maybe called War Journal. This film has got to be an R!! like what we are seeing from John Rambo trailers.

Relax dude. I got the idea because of Live Free or Die Hard which was PG13. In my opinion it should've been R rated but that limits the audience.
Punisher is going R rated but you never know they might change their mind and go PG13 for a larger audience. That's why I'm hoping all the way to finish line it remains R.
Like I said, Relax though.

I'm pretty familiar with Considine. His film "Dead Man's Shoes" (yes, that is what the pic is from) is easily one of my favorite films, it's a must see film that many have never even heard of. I'm more impressed with this film with Ray Stevenson and Paddy Considine attatched than I was with the first Punisher film altogether. Two strong actors for the two lead roles, this film should be really good.
