UPDATE: DARK KNIGHT Photos Online...

Alright, it's CYOA time for us. Three well known sites (AICN, Superhero Hype & Joblo) have already got the "We're going to sue you if..." notice from Warner Bros for putting copyrighted DARK KNIGHT pictures up on their site. Before we get the same lawsuit notice, I'm pro-actively taking down the link to the pictures. We have to protect ourselves here so I'm sure you will understand. I'm changing the picture on the top left as well..

If you're coming late in the game, 19 photos of DARK KNIGHT appeared online in the last few hours. These photos were clearly leaked from somewhere inside the production company or Warner Bros. They were most likely set to appear somewhere at sometime...Perhaps on one of the viral marketing sites for Warner Bros. I know they've been hinting about something next month called a "September Surprise". It's probably another marketing site for the movie. We also have something big related to the Joker in December though that's probably the full length trailer attached to WB's I AM LEGEND.

I apologize to everyone who somehow missed out on the photos but we have no desire to piss off the studio here. Friendly relations and all that..I'm sure there will be sites who keep the photos up a little longer until they too get the lawsuit notice (like the above mentioned 3) and equally sure there are people who have saved photos somewhere.

If you're one of them, do not link them in our talkback section. I will delete your comment if you do it. I will keep the article opened so we can discuss the movie itself and the situation that has happened here.

Plot Summary: With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon (Gary Oldman) and District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman sets out to dismantle the remaining criminal organizations that plague the city streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as The Joker (Heath Ledger).

THE DARK KNIGHT opens in theaters everywhere on July 18, 2008.

That "stupid voice Bale use for make batman scary hero..." (interesting use of the English language by the way) was also to help DISGUISE his voice to everybody. How lame would it be to go through all the trouble of having a body disguise, only to be found out by his widely recognized voice??? Bruce IS a public figure in Gotham you know.

ok ultrazilla, wear a mask and use the same voice tomorrow with your friend, and let s see if they don t catch you....

Thank you, Ultra. I was going to say the same thing. Whoever said it was supposed to be scary? But people keep on complaining about it. Of course it's to disguise his real voice no one ever sees that.. He even talks to the good guys in that voice; is he trying to scare them? But leave EX's English alone; other country's language sometimes translates out that way and they forget the correct placement or whatnot. How much of another language do you know?

I like that voice thing! ;-) They also did it it on the Batman animated show by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm (don't know if it's the same on that crappy new show). I tend to believe it originates there.

Batman Begins: "SWEAR TO MEEE!!!"

Oh I notice it's not "Don't link pics here Maniacs!" when it's serious time no labels are used. I like that better.

Well shoot... this is what I get for not checking the site in the evenings. Oh well.

As to the voice comment... I was never an avid comic reader, but I did get the compilation books of Knightfall and whatever the series that came after that was where Bruce became the Bats again. I specifically remember a scene where Robin and the new Batman were getting ready to go out for the first time and Robin told Jean Paul Valley "And don't forget to change your voice like Bruce does." (Or something along those lines.) So having Bale deepen his voice for the role is actually in canon.

I think Heath Ledger is a great choice, I'll bet he is gonna kick ass. It will be fun to watch all the haters afterwards be like, "Wow, he was actually pretty good. I guess I should learn to wait before I bash someone. I should have learned my lesson from Casino Royale and Daniel Craig"...THat will be sweet.
