Update: As pointed out earlier this morning in the report below, filming is underway in the Bethleham location and the first video scoop for it has arrived online this afternoon courtesy of SHH. They also have a report from a fan in the area. You can check out the clip below.

Earlier: It seems the men in uniform (Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson) will be getting some help from the elite across the pond in Transformers 2. MTV is reporting that Matthew Marsden (RE: Extinction, Rambo) has joined forces with Michael Bay's upcoming sequel, which is scheduled for next summer. He will be joining returnees
Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro and newcomers Isabel Lucas and Rainn Wilson.

Marsden is set to play Graham, a character who is part of the British Special Forces and will join Duhamel's Captain Lennox and Tyrese's Sergeant Epps in battling the Decepticons.

Production began yesterday in
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where producers Spielberg and director Bay has it staged as a fictional Chinese city where the robots do battle.

Transformers 2 will hit theaters June 26, 2009.

he was a cool charecter in rambo IV - yes he was the sniper - bay should add the bald headed sas guy from rambo also he would be a good guy to get snuffed by a transformer

Marsden was also the head scientific leader (the devious one) in Anaconda 2: Blood Orchid and the devious scientist in Resident Evil: Extinction, the young chap who tried shooting the main villain towards the end only to get his eyes and tongue yanked out when his would-be victim turned into the creature.

Around the same age as Josh Duhamel and Gibson. It seems that Bay is putting in more Worldwide elements into the sequel as opposed to the original being strictly American. One battle in a Chinese city and now this guy will be playing a British Special Forces operative. Perhaps some other elements too as time and scoops come in.

Ugh- I thought the first Transformers movie was waste of two hours for me. It was disjointed, contrived and hammy and Shia LeBouf couldn't have been more annoying: he was like a mix of Shatner's stilted deliveries and Will Ferrell's over the top histrionics. And the writing- god in bloody hell- awful and that whole scene with the parents and masturbation in the kid's room totally unnecessary. Characters flat if not outright you-want-to-smack-them-upside for being so grating. And what a waste of John Turturro too.

Sure the robots looked great-then after the novelty wore off it was formulaic schlepped contrivances after another.

Ugh- this IMHO but really...do we need another Hasbro two hour commercial?

Michael Bay is a criminal! He turned Optimus blue for f*cks sake! BLUE! Someone should tell this guy to stop trying to turn Transformers into GI JOE! The cartoon wasn't about the military fighting the Decepticons! It was about Robots fighting robots GOD D*MN IT! That ass didn't even include energon in the movie. How do you have Transformers without energon? Worst of all in the middle of the "what should have been climatic" fight between Optimus and Megatron he cuts away, that son of b*tch! And why so we can see more of Shia LaBleck, who shouldn't have been the focus of the movie in the first place! Last I checked the movie was called "Transformers", not "Rat-faced Teen Trying to Get His First Piece". And someone tell that Hack to stop recyling scenes from Armegeddon! This hackneyed ass makes the same movie over and over again and so he turned Transformers into The Rockmegeddonformers, cuz he's a talentless *$$hole! How the f*ck do you turn the Transformers into minor characters when they are the title characters? All of hollywood knows this! A whole episode of the show "Entourage" hinged on the fact that Michael Bay is a hack! And in closing let me say the very worst offense of all was the lips, whether you think Optimus is supposed to have them or not. The lips were the worst looking most distracting most horrible lips in all creation for that alone Bay should be sent to .....The Island!
