It seems we have more time to discuss Quentin Tarantino's upcoming WWII film Inglorious Bastards. A day after it was Eli Roth was circling the role of Sgt. Donnie Donowitz, the latest news is that "The Office" star/writer B.J Novak is in talks to play PFC Utivich, a character described as a soldier of slight build who comes from New York.

Update: Brad Pitt has been officially confirmed today
to play Aldo Raine, leader of a rogue band of Jewish-American soldiers who wreak havoc on the bad guys in Nazi-occupied France.

Producer Lawrence Bender
said casting should be complete in about a week or two. Production will begin in Europe this fall so they can possibly premiere the film at Cannes in May 2009.

I pretty much hate BJ Novak simply because he was so good at playing a prick on The Office... it'll be interesting to see if he can play a different role and make me NOT hate him.

Ryan started the fire!!!!!!! He's funny in The Office.

Right on Sport, Ryan getting busted was the highlight of the season for me.

He needs a job now doesn't he. He isn't coming back on the show is he. Once he got busted I thought they were writing him off and off to prison.

His funniest stuff was trying to avoid Kelly and Michael, both of which had big crushes on him. Not as funny once he got promoted and became an a-hole.

Yeah Wise, he's done. I assume he'll continue to serve as a producer/writer on the series. I was surprised the writers took the character in that direction.

Ryan will be back, just watch. He'll be out of prison in no time.

this is another remake. the orginal came out in the late 70's, early 80's and starred Bo Svenson as the team leader. The only thing that I can really remember about the movie is one guy offering another guy some pepper for his food and the first guy passing, saying "it makes my asshole itch." Only thing I can remember about the film really. Figures that Tarentino would remake it.

Well, the original was basically an Italian made version of The Dirty Dozen. It does figure that QT is remaking this because he loves these 70`s movies. I wonder if he`s going to get Fred Williamson to do some kind of cameo. He was in Dusk Til Dawn with him. I love the tagline they put on it when they released it in the US as a Blaxpoitation flick "If you`re a kraut, he`ll take you out" Pure genius.
