Uwe Boll Responds to DUNGEON SIEGE Bombing

Director Uwe Boll has been finding ways to finance bigger budget films through the German tax shelter funds but he can do that no longer now that it's been banned, says the Hollywood Reporter. After his latest In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale bombed at the box office, taking in only 3 million and having a budget of 70 million, the director has said he will now focus on smaller funded projects...

"In the future, I will focus on small films such as (the video game adaptation) 'Postal' or (the Vietnam war drama) 'Tunnel Rats,' " he said. "These are films that represent my true passion, and they can be done with small budgets."

"The review for 'Shark Sandwich' was merely a two word review which simply read 'Shit Sandwich'."

I think its time for Uwe Boll to sit down and retire from the film industry

well, if it is small budgets he wants. There is a small market for midget porn. But I doubt he will be any good at that either.

Wow... he actually said that huh.... managed to get that whole statement out, even with a mouthful of sh*t. That's talent.
It's not enough though, this guy needs to be stopped on all levels.

But what was total B.O.? It was released half here and overseas?

Does it really matter? The movie sucks universally. If this somehow gets transmitted into space and aliens watched this movie, if they didn`t have a reason before to invade the Earth, they certainly would now.

Alien - "We have to stop these humans especially this Uwe Boll, at all cost!"

I can not believe 70 mil was wasted so flippantly. He may as well of just burned it to keep warm. Then again, that would have probably been a better use of it.

"but he can do that no longer now that (German tax shelters have) been banned"

And there was much rejoicing!

Uwe Boll is so bad that he is reaching legend status--as in Plan 9 From Outer Space status. Seriously, one day we will look back and realize his movies are so bad that they are actually entertaining (though in an unintentional sort of way). There should be a Uwe Boll film festival on cable!!

As for this latest bomb--i haven't see it yet. It looked good in the commercials on TV. I'll just wait for it to become a 2.00 rental at my local video store.
