Premise:
Set against the futuristic landscape of totalitarian Britain, and centers on a mild-mannered young woman named Evey who is rescued from a life-and-death situation by a masked vigilante known only as "V." V ignites a revolution when he detonates two London landmarks and takes over the government-controlled airwaves, urging his fellow citizens to rise up against tyranny and oppression. As Evey uncovers the truth about V's mysterious background, she also discovers the truth about herself and emerges as his unlikely ally in the culmination of his plot to bring freedom and justice back to a society fraught with cruelty and corruption.

August 18, 2005... Warner Brothers has announced that the release date for V FOR VENDETTA has been moved to March 17, 2006. The studio moved the date "to accommodate the movie's post-production schedule."

This movie looks great. Even though the people didn't "get" what the Wachowski's were trying to say with the Matrix trilogy, maybe this movie may be more impactful...its at least more literal. Maybe this new hero will give us some pointers on how to bring down the corrupt Bush Administration
