V: Uneasy Lies The Head

Jack’s concerned by Erica’s ruthlessness

This episode’s title is taken from Shakespeare’s Henry IV Part II as both Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Lisa (Laura Vandervoort) adjust to their new respective leadership roles: Erica as supreme commander of the global-wide Fifth Column and Lisa as the future queen of the Vs who plots against her mother Anna (Morena Baccarin).

Erica grows ruthless and cold-blooded in her new role, realizing sacrifices have to be made for the greater good. She’s very “the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few” in her approach, which troubles Jack (Joel Gretsch), the former priest.

However, Hobbes (Charles Mesure) is turned on by the new Erica and the two end up sleeping together at the end. This is a natural outcome of their relationship, which has been heading this way for a few episodes.

Other observations: The special effects of the humans getting sick and dying a horrible, gruesome death were pretty nasty as seen with Rafael (guest star Charlie Carrick) and a Chinese boy (guest star Harrison Xu).

V continues to deliver as the show races towards its finale (whether it’s a season finale or a series finale has yet to be determined, but probably the latter).

Seeing "head" and "Vandervoort" in the same sentence gives me a strange tingling in my pants.

right when it get's good, it gets canceled

Hasn't been cancelled yet, despite the implications of such that are constantly made by this site. It'll certainly be a near thing, but it's by no means a done deal.

This episode was worth seeing just to see Elizabeth Mitchell in her black bra. I'll let someone else discuss the Hitchcockian implications of that color.

I really love this show. I hope they give it at least one more season to wrap the story and not leave it in a cliffhanger.

Yo! Anybody know where you can watch epsiodes online? My DVR went out yesterday and I have the last five episodes on there and I haven't seen them yet.

Ditto that doublec.....the bra was NICE!

Sadly, aegrant, it's not online anywhere at the moment, at least not officially. Many see this as a sign the show is in serious trouble.

Did anyone else know Hulu only shows clips of this and not actual episodes? WTF?

the writing is still bad and makes for some akward scenes but overall it's starting to find a path.  I have no hope whatsoever that this show will be renewed for another season and I'm okay with that.  The sad truth is that my love for the original and my love for the super hot girls in this version are the reasons I keep watching, but I don't watch the broadcast to contribute to the ratings, I dl illegally because I don't see value yet.  I don't know whats going on in the world today but girls north of 40 are killing the 20somethings right now!  Way hotter and way better at handling themselves.  The advantage of youth in hollywood is fast disapearing!!!
