Lois Lane Spin-Off? - Sep 10, 2006 - 07:58pm
(FYI darthkaos - As long as Warner Bros holds control over the Harry Potter franchise and Nolan's Batman films, it will never be in the red...its their ace in the hole when their other movies tank at the box office.)
Lois Lane Spin-Off? - Sep 10, 2006 - 07:56pm
One word for this concept "pathetic."
As for your comments gazelle024, you're obviously another one of those feminest morons that would love to see Superman and Lois Lane "Romeo and Juliet" edition or a live action My Little Pony or Rainbow Brite epic...
Please don't try to pass off this tripe as acceptable. Lois Lane is NOTHING without Superman and if Superman Returns proved anything, she is nothing on screen without him.
No one gives a crap anymore if she wants him or not and Singer put the nail in the coffin by giving her not only a fiance but a kid on top of it all.
Even if she wanted Superman back, she would then be a selfish whore jumping from one man to the next.
This character died when Margot Kidder and Teri Hatcher left the screen in their respective Superman runs. Hot as Erica Durance is, she's just another cheap Chloe clone. Warner Bros needs to bury this concept before it buries their "superhero" film image and think about originality again.
Smallville works because its characters, though recognizable by name are reintroduced in a way that has both a sense of realism and human nature to them...oh yeah and aside from filler episodes, actually uses clever plotlines to get its point across in ways people would not expect, that's called talent people.
We don't need another DC character turned Erin Brockavitch stinking up the big screen, raising movie ticket prices to finance yet ANOTHER bomb in a 16:9 train wreck.
I think Jay Sherman said it best.
"If the movie stinks, just don't go."
Stop going to these spinoff movies, stop going to the shoddy remakes and formulated sequels, stop supporting the safety of built in audiences and let Hollywood know you're sick and tired of spinoff/remake/sequel circles!
I for one will NEVER see this movie after enduring the horror that was Elektra and Catwoman.
Nuff said!

Penguin not in the cards for Hoffman - Sep 06, 2006 - 04:32am
Chris Nolan already shot down this rumor and the Sean Penn rumor in his recent interview posted on superherohype.com.
Sean was never offered the role of The Joker and Nolan said there was no truth to Penguin being in the next film. Since that is out in the open, there can be no truth to this Hoffman rumor.
I'm surprised you even mentioned this on here, it's old news and already exposed as internet speculation and nothing more.
