Vaughan Is New Man Behind X-MEN

20th Century Fox and Marvel Entertainment have hired British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn to direct X-MEN 3.

Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen and Patrick Stewart are already on board to reprise their roles. Fox is still in negotiations with Halle Berry though.

The film is aiming for a release date of May 26, 2006.

Hm. If this has the grit and promise he directed with in Layer Cake, it should prove wise casting.

He should easily be able to make Halle Berry think Storm is British and assist her in learning how to speak something other than with a valley girl accent.
