Vaughn could be HECKLED

New Line Cinema has bought the screenplay HECKLED from writers Jeremy Haft and Ed Gonzalez, with the idea of making it a star vehicle for actor Vince Vaughn. The DODGEBALL star would play a mouthy NBA heckler whose bravado causes one of the game's superstars to receive a suspension. That in turn creates a situation where the heckler becomes the heckled.
New Line discovered the script when Karz Entertainment brought it to them; the production company has a first-look deal with the studio, meaning that any movie ideas that Karz finds are presented to New Line first. Strangely enough, a fellow by the name of Mike Karz will produce the movie while Russell Hollander gets executive producer credit.
Remember, Vaughn isn't signed just yet. They just want him.
