Venus Versus Virus

Located in a non-descript part of the city is Venus Vanguard, a small shop that deals in antiques, mostly vintage clothing and jewelry. At least, that's what it does on the surface. For if you can read the special writing on one of their flyers, chances are you need their help. And not with fashion, but with exorcising demons! Invisible to most humans, Viruses, demonic beings that have lost their souls, lurk. They hunt those who can see them. They take their souls. And they create more Viruses. Only the Venus Vanguard has the means to stop this invasion. That is, if they aren't killed by one of their own.

VITAL INFO

ADR Director - Kyle Jones

ADR Writer - Dorothy Garret

CHARACTERS

Lucia Nahashi " Voiced by Joanne Bonasso - While only a teenager, Lucia not only runs the Venus Vanguard shop, she's their lead exorcist. She's tough as nails, rarely showing emotion, save absolute hatred towards Viruses. Lucia is equally deadly with guns and blades, mostly using bullets with a special anti-Virus vaccine to take out her foes. But when in a pinch, she takes off the eye patch covering her left eye to reveal an unearthly yellow eye of unknown power. However, using this power takes a toll on her.

Sumire Takahana " Voiced by Natalie Arneson - Sumire had a normal life, attending a fine girls' high school, living in the dorm with her school friends, going out shopping, and doing all the things teenagers do. Until one day, she picked up a brooch belonging to Lucia and suddenly became able to see Viruses. Which unfortunately also made her a TARGET for them. Sumire is absolutely terrified of Viruses and has next to no combat abilities, which is a hazard in her new job with the Vanguard. But unlike any other human, the anti-Virus vaccine affects Sumire, turning her into a berserker, a living anti-Virus. In that form, she can tear through Viruses barehanded... but she also has a tendency to attack anyone around her. Including Lucia.

Soichiro Nahashi " Voiced by John Swasey - An older gentleman who has been Lucia's guardian for many years. To him, she is his real daughter. Nahashi is one of the main support figures in the Venus Vanguard, using his skills to develop the vaccine and their arsenal of weapons.

Laura " Voiced by Kim-Ly Nguyen - A strange little girl, and the other member of the Venus Vanguard. Laura helps out in the shop and helps with the equipment. She likes to tease Sumire about just about everything, from her lousy shooting skills to her tendency to blush. She is almost always seen eating chocolate.

Yoshiki Kusanagi " Voiced by Blake Shepard - Yoshiki seems like a nice, normal kind-hearted young man... Who hangs out in a playground, sitting inside the slide area reading books all the time. Weird quirk aside, he and Sumire develop a friendship when she finds him in the park one day. They start to exchange books often, and it is clear Sumire has growing feelings for him.

Nene Mikumo " Voiced by Carli Mosier - Sumire's cousin and good friend. Nene has a very upbeat personality and likes to think that's she's looking out for her cousin. She also enjoys "encouraging" her little brother's attempts to ask Sumire out.

Riku Mikumo " Voiced by Luci Christian - Nene's younger brother, he has a GIANT crush on Sumire but all his attempts to ask her out end in failure, partially because he's too timid, and partially because something always interferes! It doesn't help that Sumire is oblivious either.

Sonaka " Voiced by Christine Auten - This mystery woman has some connection to the Viruses, as she's seen controlling one to spy on the Venus Vanguard. And she has quite an interest in Sumire and Lucia. Her glasses may make her look like a schoolteacher, but there's something sinister about her.

Luca " Voiced by Melissa Pritchett - One of Sonaka's underlings. She looks like a stylish teenage girl, but she's got quite a mean streak. Coupled with the ability to control electricity, this does not bode well for Sumire and Lucia.
