Video Footage of JOKER & Bat's Ride

By: Jarrod Sarafin, News Editor
Date: Tuesday, July 17, 2007
Source: My Fox Chicago

Some new video footage of THE DARK KNIGHT have appeared online courtesy of My Fox (News) Chicago. There's 3 video coverage segments in all covering them setting up a fight/chase which will occur between "The Joker" (Heath Ledger) and the "Batmobile". This will be taking place on Lower Wacker Drive in Chicago.

Video 1: Shows the production crew prepping the new batmobile.

Video 2: Shows the Joker rolling in what looks like a skateboard (we can't see his actual feet) but he's gliding smoothly on something while a camera racked vehicle follows closely behind.

Video 3: Footage of them getting the batmobile in place for the chase scene while Heath Ledger decked out in his "joker" look find time to crack a few jokes with Nolan and his assistants.

To see the 3 videos (you have to watch a Kia ad before each video), click right here.

Special thanks to My Fox News Chicago and scooper Daforce for sending it in.

Boy, Heath rocks back and forth a lot. It looks like either he's nervous or he has to piss.

I live in dowtown chicago and seeing more and more of these footages makes we wanna sneek out one night and watch them film. I cant believe Bale and Ledger are in town. It looks like a lot of "hurry up and wait" for heath as he must be anxious and tired to be on set for so many hours. What's stopping me from going is that it gets really boring fast. I was on the set for a movie called "The Express" and my brother has a supporting role in it and when he invited me i was excited and than 5 minutes later my back was aching. I still think the joker look is unique and ledger's great acting will make it a great character.

I'm excited about this movie more and more every day.

From a distance, he looks more like BeetleJuice than the Joker, but he looks pretty bad ass from what you can see.....I am very excited a bout this. I just wish they would stop putting up useless footage on the net.

It's a skateboard. You can clearly see it when he turns around pillar.

Also, to the people who think the mak-up look like shit (Narpin), what would be scarier, a clown in perfect make-up or like the dude from Silence of the Lambs who looks like he just threw some shiton his face to look all sorts of twisted. I don't know what kind of fucked up clowns to your Birthday, but I think that this is indicitive of Psychotic. And that is just all my opnion and my spelling sucks. Lemonade?

I think it's safe to say this movie will be epic.

Way more pressure on Heath than there was on Bale the first time around, do you agree. He's more nervous about this role than he was on Brokeback.

I'd agree with you, Goatartist.

He's filling "Jack's" role in the Burton series but it goes beyond that.

The Joker is by far the favorite in the Batman series. Heath Ledger is taking his role very seriously...

I loved Batman Begins, so I trust Nolan. That being said, this Joker looks more like the Cat-guy from KISS, than the Joker.

Just for fun I watched Sandy Colorra's Batman: Dead End again. Although "Boner" sounded a little off as the Joker, he looked great! That's the Joker.

I'm sure I will enjoy TDK, but that Joker just doesn't do it for me.
