The CW have provided another new video clip from the season 10 premiere of Smallville. In this one Clark saves the planet! We've also got seven images from the episode as well as the previously-released clip. First, here's the official description of the episode, which is called "Lazarus":

JOHN SCHNEIDER REPRSIES HIS ROLE AS JONATHAN KENT IN THE FINAL SEASON OF SMALLVILLE — The season premiere picks up where the finale left off.  Lois (Erica Durance) finds Clark’s (Tom Welling) lifeless body and removes the blue kryptonite enabling him to heal himself.  However, Lois sneaks away before Clark fully awakens in order to protect his secret.  Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) is desperate to find Oliver (Justin Hartley), so she turns to an unlikely source for answers.  Jonathan (Schneider) returns to the Kent Farm with a message for Clark, and Tess (Cassidy Freeman) awakens in a LuthorCorp lab.  Kevin Fair directed the episode written by Don Whitehead & Holly Henderson.

The "Lazarus" episode of Smallville airs Friday, September 24th at 8pm on The CW.

Tom Welling should've already been Well Into Wearing the TIGHTS lol this show always had the potential to be way better than it actually is...

Is that Lex in the last picture? Oh and I thought the whole Smallville Scarecrow Prank was for highschool, but then again if Clark was dreaming while unconcious from the fall this could easily explain Pa Kent's return and the two other things.

I still don't know why Tess is still alive after last season? She should of died so they could establish Perry White early this last season.

Kraken, I think it may be a Lex clone recreating twisted versions of Lex's memories (rescuing Clark in the cornfield in the 1st episode).  The Comic Con trailer has established Cadmus Labs as playing some role in the last season (they may be responsible for keeping Tess alive) or maybe it's a front for Darkseid's forces.  I think it would be kind of cool to tie in the return of Lex with the arrival of Darkseid.  He'd REALLY need to become Superman to deal with that combo!

I'm sure Pa Kent's return is a vision or near-death experience since it would be a disservice to the character to bring him back in some other way (a clone).  It always bothered me that Pa's last appearance on the show (until this episode, at least) was Brainiac impersonating him at the end of Season 5.  It just seemed...wrong.  Anyways, maybe you're right and this whole cornfield scenario is all in Clark's head as a kind "warning" that his business with Lex is not over.

I hope Perry White shows up again, too.

Since this will be the last season (loved the shot of the suit in the trailer for season 10). I really hope that the writters let it all go.

The latest Promo from CW confirms not only Lex Clones, but that Tess Mercer has also been cloned. I would say it's positive that it is a Lex Clone observing Lois on the cross. Kraken makes a good point regarding Pa Kent and Brainiac. Trouble is he is probably right. It has also been confirmed that James Masters will return as Brainiac 5 this season. As we all know this is a future version of Brainiac who has joined the Legion of Superheroes. Since some of the Legion has already visited Clark from the future is it so far fetched that Bariniac 5 is doing the same? Both 'Pa Kent' and Supergirl are here to warn Clark of the upcoming Apocolipse, and of the destiny he must fulfill to literally save the Earth. It's possible that the whole Pa Kent scene is a dream such as Clark had in the opening of the final episode of Season 9. A dream that foreshadows his destiny as Superman. The cornfield scene two could also be a dream. It is the first time Clark will use his powers after Lex releases him from the cross, to save a large group of people (at the school dance). The dream shows that both Lois and Lex are major players in his 'destiny' and that his 'destiny' began on that day in the cornfield 10 years ago.

I forgot to mention one other thing..........This has got to be the hottest crucifixation since Joan Of Arc.  I think this all is just a dream while Clark is unconcious and a "beware the ides of march" portent.

Not sure why Brainiac 5 is in conversation. Oh and hence Mr. Whedon's permenantly post-poned script, I don't see why we can't have a little Diana on the show. Or at the very least an Isis cameo.

Kraken89 For the record Joan of Arc was not crucified she was burned at the stake.  Brainiac 5 will appear in an upcoming episode, again played by James Masters. Officially it has been announced that his intentions are vague. Being from the future he is a part of the Legion, but unlike the other Legionaires he may not be inclined to keep Clark's destiny a secret in order to preserve the future. As in 'Salvation' it appears Clark is getting glimpses of the future courtesy of Dr. Fate. Not a good idea.
