The CW has provided a new video clip from the this week's episode of Smallville. Guest stars abound in this week's segment. We've also got eighteen images from the episode. First, here's the official description of the episode, which is called "Shield":
DC COMICS’ CHARACTERS DEADSHOT, CAT GRANT, CARTER HALL AND SHAYERA APPEAR — After Lois (Erica Durance) departs for Egypt, the Daily Planet hires a new reporter by the name of Cat Grant (guest star Keri Lynn Pratt) to take her place. An assassin named Deadshot (guest star Bradley Stryker) takes aim at Kat but Clark learns the man has a dangerous hidden agenda that involves The Blur. Meanwhile, Carter Hall (guest star Michael Shanks) turns up in Egypt to keep an eye on Lois and he tells Lois about his wife Shayera (guest star Sahar Biniaz). Glen Winter directed the episode written by Jordan Hawley.
The "Shield" episode of Smallville airs Friday, October 1st at 8pm on The CW.

Hopefully this is the way the all shows are going to be for the last season. Plenty of characters popping in the show, maybe the show will end with the JLA together or at least close to it.

Michael Shanks was great as Hawkman. I can't wait to see him in another episode.
This episode was awesome, it has it all , but most of all it has THE SUCIDE SQUAD, hell yeah, Rick Flag, plastique, Deadshot ,wish they didnt have him looking like a cowboy though. i cant wait to see who they fill out the Squad with. Hell I even like Clarks new duds the red leather jacket. the Shows last season is looking great. i cant wait see what they bring to the table next

Awesome! This is already looking to be a damn good episode, or atleast compared to last week's. Let's hope Cat and Clark strike up a little fling like they do in the comics. Oh and I hope to see Hawkgirl in costume!
