Vadim Perelman Possibly Directing POLTERGEIST - Sep 03, 2008 - 12:33am
Hey Whiskey, Have you ever done c c c c cocain with Dr. Roxo? I saw a girl at A DethKlok show dressed like one of his girls. Hottest,Clown,Ever. I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers Tobe Hooper directed the original. I agree that the other 2 movies were shit but Craig T Nelson puking up that worm in part 2 used to make me sick watching it.

Trailer Voice Mastermind Don LaFontaine Passes Away - Sep 03, 2008 - 12:07am
Wait, the Snowman is dead?!

Mark Millar Wants SUPERMAN Trilogy - Sep 03, 2008 - 12:03am
I think the red head in the back groud was Karlie Montana. She's an adult model but I dont know who she was supposed to be. She was the cover girl for the last 2 nerdcore calandars though.

Nolan's Call on a Third BATMAN - Aug 28, 2008 - 12:24am
I say bring Talia in as the new Ra's with a regroups Society of Shadows and have her try to continue her fathers work of destroying Gotham and taking revenge on Batman for her fathers death. She can bring Bane (the real Bane mind you)as hired muscle and Firefly to destroy Gotham from underneath by placing explosives in the sewers were we discover Killer Croc has been living along with his usual setting a building on fire or 2 along the way. I never got the impression in Begins that Ra's had been alive for hundreds of years as I though he was just speaking for the existence of the SoS. As far as new mob bosses go maybe Maxi Zeus? Would fit in with the whole idea of a freak coming into town but he still kind of be realistic

More Info on the Fox vs. WB WATCHMEN Suit - Aug 27, 2008 - 11:45pm
I'll guarantee you that if everyone hated the trailer and there was no good buzz for this film Fox would be completely quiet.

O'Connor Kicks Off Martial-Arts Saga WARRIOR - Aug 14, 2008 - 08:12pm
Yeah Red Belt was pretty good. Can't wait for the dvd. This sounds interesting as well. Neve Back Down is enjoyable? So its not the Karate Kid rip off the ads make it look like?

Imagi Takes on DreamWorks' TUSKER - Aug 11, 2008 - 07:25pm
Unusual that Dreamworks has a project sitting around that it seems they don't want to do? Perhaps the story is darker than normal Dreamworks fare?

DVD Review of Dark City (Director's Cut) - Aug 10, 2008 - 06:51pm
I saw a couple renting this in Block Buster the other night and told them it was an excellent choice. One of the few films I've ever seen where my jaw was on the floor while watching it.

De Niro Faces Off Against Gibson in DARKNESS - Aug 03, 2008 - 09:12pm
Sean Connery was offered the role of Morpheus? WOW. would love to visit the dimension where that version of the film got made. They might be filming some of this about a half hour from where I live. I doubt I'll get to see any of it filmed though.

SDCC: Batman: The Brave and the Bold Panel - Jul 26, 2008 - 12:00am
I only saw "The Batman" once and wasn't impressed. maybe cause I'm a fan of TAS? What do you guys think? Was it any good?

DARK KNIGHT Fastest to $200 Million - Jul 23, 2008 - 10:09pm
I haven't seen this film yet and wont for another week or so. Hope it lives up to the hype. I should probably avoid this site till then to evade spoilers.

MTV Set to Remake ROCKY HORROR - Jul 23, 2008 - 10:03pm
Do they really think this film will get the love of the original and still be played every year, or as in the case of one nearby theater every week? Ive never seen this but tried to watch it once on tv and they kept cutting to an audience full of people. so i gave up. May rent it some day to see what all the fuss is about.

And The New T-800 TERMINATOR Is...? - Jul 17, 2008 - 07:00pm
I always figured an alternate version of the future from T-3 would revolve around the arm the second T-800 left behind. I think its safe to say the sytem model # is the look of the human casing over the endo-skeleton. I never assumed all terminators looked the same as Arnold would kind of defeat their purpose.

And The New T-800 TERMINATOR Is...? - Jul 17, 2008 - 04:58pm
Its possible they could be system model 101, 102 ect. I think most people forget about the system model number om terminators and only remember the series number. This whole T-800 from 20 years earlier doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Is Kyle Reese like 5 years old in this? in the first film he was talking about the 600 series and how the 8oos were new. A lot of the information in the article could be wrong or not presented correctly as it looks like its from a local news paper. Could be total misinformation from the producers.

Top Maniacal Rumors: Riddler's Clues, Super Millar and Abe Frankenstein - Jul 05, 2008 - 10:07pm
On another Batman related note has anyone seen the Batman Comcast commercial with the family that just moved into Gotham city and the daughter is holding a canister of fear gas asking what it was. More evidence of Scarecrow being in the new film?

Top Maniacal Rumors: Riddler's Clues, Super Millar and Abe Frankenstein - Jul 05, 2008 - 10:05pm
I'd like to see Bane get his proper due on screen and not that abomination he was in B&R. Firefly, the pyromaniac one, I think that his name would be a good villian too. Is it possible that the whole Singer/Superman thing could be falling apart and WB might be looking at back up options especially if they want to launch a JL film at some point? Could it be Richard Donner want to get back into it? And bring on Bizarro!

Sigourney Weaver Up for ALIENS 5 - Jul 05, 2008 - 09:59pm
I think it would be interesting to show Ripley with a daughter to kind of make up for the one she lost in Aliens but never showed except in the extended cut, and of course the child would probably be part alien as well seeing as the new Ripley shares queen genetics. You could always use the child in future Alien film. I'd also be up for a new stand alone Predator film as well.

First Official Trailer for EARTH STOOD STILL Online - Jul 05, 2008 - 09:45pm
Does that huge orb remind anyone else of the ship from Wavelength? Any one remember that movie besides me?

BSG's Campbell Joins KNIGHT, Rambin Joins CONNOR - Jun 17, 2008 - 10:48pm
I have to agree with Kilmer not being the best voice. There wasn't even one line of "You, You're dangerous!" He was kind of a last minute replacement though. Maybe hell get better as the show goes on?

Lawrence Kasdan to Pen ROBOTECH - Jun 16, 2008 - 10:30pm
Dear God, I realize you hate me more with each passing and and enjoy seeing me suffer. But please, for the love of you, DO NOT LET THEM SCREW THIS UP!! I'm not really a fan of animation being turned into live action as I think the results are usually horrid. But since it will happen weather I like it or not I might as well hope for the best. I can see the first Robotech war being stretched across 3 films and hopefully thats the root they will take. I umm 4th the motion for the Starblazers movie (can i do such a thing?) Another story I see being done in more than one film. I remember reading script review some years ago for a potential film but the script was not good .

Leterrer Directing Thriller STRAYS - Jun 16, 2008 - 10:00pm
I wonder if it will be the same town they used in Call of Duty 4. Turns out that was actually a real town and a lot of those building actually exist

Stan Winston Passes Away at 62 - Jun 16, 2008 - 09:32pm
God must be making a Kick ass sci-fi film and needed the best. Don't know what I can say that hasn't been said here already. Did work ever finish on that "Outlander" film that he was designing the creature for?

Box Office: HULK Flies into Top Spot - Jun 15, 2008 - 10:14pm
I saw "The Happening". At first I was disapointed that there was no Rerun or Shirley Hemphill. Then I realized that it wasn't a remake of "Whats Happening". I still ended up being disapointed. I'm sure there must be some scientific basis behind the film and some of the deaths were pretty cool but it wasn't enough. I think M Night should give us a follow up to Unbreakable instead.

Columbia Bringing SMURFS To the Big Screen - Jun 10, 2008 - 11:35pm
I remember last year sometime there was an interview here on mania with a writer who said he had a big smurf trilogy planned. I don't remember who it was or if I can even find the article on here. I don't know if the guy was joking or what but I wonder if thats still the plan.

Leterrier Interested in HULK Sequel - Jun 10, 2008 - 11:26pm
I've been seeing the Hulk tv spots recently with the Tony Stark cameo being unveiled to the general public and was thinking that perhaps RDJ has a bigger role in this film that just a simple cameo.

Stacy Keibler Joins Six Hour SAMURAI GIRL - Jun 10, 2008 - 11:15pm
MMMM STACY!! Here I thought that I was the only one still in love with this girl after all these years. I've never seen What about Brian. remember hearing of its existence. Did it even air on tv?

McG Updates Blog for TERMINATOR - Jun 05, 2008 - 09:49pm
Ok maybe I misread that somewhere probably read that here anyways. As for the rating. Doesn't seem to bother me. Will mostly be humans smashing machines into junk and humans being exploded by "phased plamsa rifle in a 40 watt range"

TRANSPORTER 3 A Go For Lionsgate - Jun 04, 2008 - 10:24pm
Wasn't it a few months ago we weren't even sure this movie was getting made an/or wether or not Statham was going to be in it. Now its done? I must've missed something working all those all hours.

McG Updates Blog for TERMINATOR - Jun 04, 2008 - 10:18pm
OK so I have a problem with the description of the T-600. At what point did Reese say they were 8 ft tall? I believe they were human size but had rubber skin hence they were easier to spot. Has no one else picked up on this? Also I thought they were forgoing T3 and if so why is Kate Brewster/Conner in this? She didn't exist in the original time line.

Update: Marsden Joins TRANSFORMERS 2 & Video - Jun 03, 2008 - 09:10pm
I wonder for the sequel if there'll be some sort of human "transformers task force" With Duhamel,Tyrese and John Turturo returning.

Bryce Howard Taking Over in TERMINATOR Trilogy - Jun 02, 2008 - 09:42pm
Unfortunately my fellow genre fans, some of your brethren simply cannot go to the movies as often as we'd like too due to jobs or other commitments that get made. I myself have yet to see Iron Man and I don't even think Ive watched any trailers for Indy 4 but that might just be because i have soem sort of subliminal denial that the film exists lol. I only went to see Red Belt Because I knew the film would be gone a week later and I had waited along time for it. Now back the the news story. Am I the only one who realizes this is the second time they recast this role. For T3 they had another actress before Claire Danes and had her recast because she was coming off as "too young"? I'm also curious as to what people think of as continuity errors in the terminator time line.

Perlman Leading FX's ANARCHY - May 29, 2008 - 09:29pm

Mania's Top Maniacal Rumors: Let's Talk War Machines and Wonder Woman - May 02, 2008 - 11:20pm
A WW film would only be good if she is the ass kicking take no bs "men are dying? eh who cares?" character she was in the Justice League animated.

Abrams Talks Wider Appeal of TREK? - May 02, 2008 - 11:08pm
I see this film starting out in our known and loved trek universe but with the time travel involvement the whole thing will be reset so they can basically start over and relaunch the franchise. I believe Trek has had continuity errors since the first episode or somewhere around there, ( a headstone the reads James R Kirk, anyone know about this?) so its just part of treks history if things arn't perfect. I'm waiting for a real trailer.

Clive Barker's DREAD Hitting Theaters - May 01, 2008 - 11:34pm

Michael Stahl-David Responds to CLOVERFIELD 2 - Apr 18, 2008 - 08:20am
I had acctualy posted about the news crew idea when they first announced a sequel. But who knows if they will go that route. The first one treate you like your a military analyst watch fund civilian footage which I thought was cool and wouldn't mind if the sequel went the same way. I do agree with macgawd about the Blair Witch follow up though. Hour and a half of my life I'll never get back.

New Line Axed By Time Warner - Apr 15, 2008 - 10:58pm
Wow this site redesign sucks. I couldn't even post last night. As for New line going down well that sucks. I remember back when dvds first came out New lines were usually packed full of special features and WB's were kinda empty. Not so much the case any more but its still hard to beilve the studio that gave us LOTR several short years ago is now gone

Virgin & Mostow Ready for MEGAS Comic - Feb 27, 2008 - 10:42pm

Abrams Updates CLOVERFIELD 2 & TREK - Feb 24, 2008 - 07:18pm
Did anyone here what Trek actor the girl said was being honored? I couldn't make it out. AS for CF2 I say keep the cam, or switch it to news crew and their camera. Most people complaining about the camera in 1 where he people who couldn't figure out from the trailer that the whole film was shot that way. Reminds me of the idiots who were in the theater a few rows behind me when i saw Pan Labrynth. They left 2 minutes in when they discovered the film was subtitled. It got a lot quieter after that.

Toshiba to Drop HD DVD? - Feb 17, 2008 - 02:45am
Hanso: I am a gamer and own a 360. I was figuring if i was going to get a blue ray player might as well get a ps3. Why get just a blue ray player when you can have one that does more than just play movies. Ms more than likely has a blue ray add on sitting in its labs somewhere ready to be manufactured. Hopefully it would be a hybrid player so all the hd-dvd owners will still be able to use the movies they already bought

Toshiba to Drop HD DVD? - Feb 14, 2008 - 10:17pm
Doesn't surprise me. A friend of mine saw the HD-DVD add on for 360 for 120 at best buy today even though the price was dropped to 130 last week. Still might pick one up even thought its dying. would like to experience HD and simply don't have the space or the cash for a ps3. Maybe the hd dvds will be discounted soon.

Bettany Helps Humanity in LEGION - Feb 13, 2008 - 10:16pm
Took God this long to lose faith in humanity? I lost mine a long time ago, When i saw the title i thought it was going to be about Legion from the Bible, or maybe that will be the big plot twist of the movie. That its not really angels but Legion itself

Worthington Leads TERMINATOR Trilogy - Feb 13, 2008 - 10:09pm
I remember reading that as well Hobbs. Cameron liked the film but said it wasn't what he would've done. Read it here in fact. I didnt know about the whole Gale Ann Hurd thing. I keep hearing this guys name and keep thinking he's the general from Black Hawk Down. Turns out that's Sam Shepard. As for T3 not being part of the tv universe why does Cameron ( the terminator) tell Sarah she dies of cancer which was mentioned in T3

Robotech Retrospective - Feb 08, 2008 - 11:09pm
I need to ask, has anyone ever seen a macross film called "Clash of the Bionoids"? I beilve it was a british dubbed Macross film because all the character had the accents.I wasn't sure what this film was but it had the basic Robotech story compressed to 2 hours or so, which fueled my "robotech was animated differently " thought i had for years.

Robotech Retrospective - Feb 08, 2008 - 11:04pm
Loved Robotech when i was akid and still do. Though hoestly i think Starblazers was the first series to take war seiously even though it may have been dumbed down.I swore i remeber reading in one of the Robotech art books, i think it was 3, that the show took the 3 series' character, mech designs and so on and basically it was reanimated for the american story. I thought that for years and found out late ri was completely wrong. Guess I owe an ex gf an apology. Lastly, Shadow Chronicles was great.

Luke Goss Playing Fox in TEKKEN - Feb 08, 2008 - 10:50pm
so the film wont have kazuya as the main character?

Arnett Replaced by Val Kilmer for K.I.T.T - Feb 07, 2008 - 10:10pm
SERIOUSLY? THIS IS A NEWS STORY? THIS ACTUALLY HAPPEND? This is how screwed up this country is where an actor is asked to be replaced because he voice a commercial for a competing car company? I don't even really know who this guy is but I mean that just completely sucks. If this gets picked up as a series do you think Val Kilmer will do the episodes? I liked the Mike Rowe idea. Wasn't aware he voiced al the stuff on discovery but i always wondered why he sounded familiar. And ona sillier note. Anyone remember that Val Kilmers name in Real Genius was Chris Knight? Maybe its Michaels cousin and they put his brain in the car?

Woo's RED CLIFF International Trailer Online - Feb 01, 2008 - 10:11pm
Cool. Dynasty Warriors the movie! I know thats not really the case but sure sounds like it.

ReelTime and Sony Partner Up - Jan 23, 2008 - 09:21pm
Merin: can you explain to me how the P2P protocols work for some thing like this. I have Joost and I recently found out they do the same thing. But i dont understand how it works. I thought for P2P one person needed the file that was being transfered then the next person has it and so on. Am I wrong? I agree with you on the change in tv coming. I have access to Hulu from NBC/FOX and almost prefer to watch tv that way Looks every bit as good as regular tv.

Concept Sketch and Details for HOST 2 - Jan 10, 2008 - 10:50pm
The first film was good. It is an asian film so it does have its weird moments, but a hell of a start to a monster movie if i do say so. If your unsure about it I'd say its worth a rental.

Let Uncle Sam Buy Your Digital TV - Jan 07, 2008 - 09:36pm
My grandmother told me the other day that the cable company called her and told her she needed a digital box so she can still receive tv. I told her that wasn't true and said the cale company was just trying to scare her into renting a digital box for no reason. I imagine they are going to do this with alot of people figure they can sucker the ones that don't know any better.

Maggie Gyllenhaal Talks Dawes in DARK KNIGHT - Jan 07, 2008 - 09:08pm
Gary Oldman is great. I don't think I've ever seen him in one movie where he looks the same from the last movie. Though I think dr smith from lost in space and the terrorist from air force one looked similar. Did any one else enjoy him as zorg in 5th element?

Update: Oil Platform destroyed by CLOVERFIELD Monster - Jan 07, 2008 - 08:59pm
I called the phone number (yay for skype) and it basically gives a message in japanese and in english saying that if you had any relatives aboard the rig you will be contacted by someone. this office does not keep personel records on hand or something along those lines. Going to that companies web site and see the dolphin picture on the page makes me think that discredited "whale monster" pic is legit

Three Clips from DUNGEON SIEGE - Jan 07, 2008 - 07:58pm

Three More Join KNIGHT RIDER - Nov 29, 2007 - 10:06pm
I was thinking that maybe this "transformers" element of the new show might be more like the old cartoon M.A.S.K. but the producers simply used the transformers term to describe it because they cant think of a differtn way.

Hasbro Clarifies G.I JOE Storyline - Nov 05, 2007 - 08:47pm
I think i may have posted this before but does anyone else think it would be cool if they don't say who's cast as Cobra Commander and let people guess till the end credits roll. They may have a hard time getting an actor to agree to that and they may not be able to depending on the rules of the S.A.G.

Bruening Is the New KNIGHT RIDER - Nov 03, 2007 - 03:08am
Backdoor pilot basically means that this will be a 2 hour tv movie that if it gets the ratings will be turned into a series with possibly some changes.I'm kind of impressed that this is a sequel and not a remake. I would think they'll have Hoff running Knight Industries since Devon died in KN 2000 unless the wont count that. Garth JR? lol. Bring on the next gen K.A.R.R.!!!

STAR TREK Teaser Hitting Soon? - Nov 03, 2007 - 02:54am
Something tells me that by the end of this film the entire Trek universe will be rebooted meaning suddenly all the 24th century adventures and even the original cast films will never happen in this rebooted universe and they will just go from there. I would like to see TNG cast in the new film, with perhaps the Titan being the vessel that escorts Spock back in time.

Harrelson Finds THE OTHER SIDE - Nov 01, 2007 - 08:17pm
Wasn't he supposed to do a comedy about 3 former assasins living in suburbia with Brendan Frazier and Simon Pegg? Anyone know what happened to that movie?
