I can only hope the story matches the graphics. Another one that looks awesome is "Pan's Labyrinth".

I read Gates of Fire and it was a fantastic story! I haven't seen Miller's GN. Either way I also hope this film is great! Its an epic story! I really hope it works! (And isn't another Oliver Stone Presents: Alexander on Brokeback Mountain.

I think the Alexander & Troy movies being made is what killed the "Gates of Fire" book from being adapted to the big screen. It was rumored to be in production a few years back around the time Alexander and Troy were being filmed .
That could turn out to be a good thing though, the delay of adapting "Gates". Frank Miller's adaptation of his GN (same story) could be a much better version since in basics, it's the same story.
