Heroes Promo Trailer

Everyone keeps telling me to watch this show because "It's getting better with every passing week".

I had a friend get me all 5 (now 6) shows on a disc so I can catch up on it but were still skeptical on it lasting any amount of time because of a continuing pessimistic view towards NBC, CBS, ABC towards genre tv thrillers.

Lost seems to be an exception to the rule so far but in most cases, the big 3 networks are so short sighted when it comes to great genre shows like these.

This is born out my frustration of ABC's handling of Invasion and to some extent Firefly years back. I really got into that show last year and ABC mishandled it from the beginning to the end. It was a bitter pill to swallow.

They seem ready to yank any show at any time when half the time, they have only themselves to blame by the manner in which they showed towards nurturing it in the right timeslot (not moving it) and with some respect for its growing amount of fans.

I've already committed to getting into Heroes at the soonest I can but so help me, if NBC pulls this off the air after a year or so, I think us Maniacs need to stage a revolt or revolution towards the big 3 networks in terms of how they treat great genre tv. Viva La Resistance.
