Vin Diesel has reportedly pulled out of the $30 million action film BLACK WATER TRANSIT.

The film, which was supposed to begin shooting in Chicago late July, is still hoping to return to the city once the role is recast. Kevin Bacon, James Franco and Sophie Okonedo have signed on to co-star in the film which will be directed by Samuel Bayer.

The film is based on a Carsten Stroud novel and follows the divergent agendas of crooks, cops and lawyers as they clash over a shipment of illegal firearms, mafia ties and a double homicide.

Good I hope now he will now get started in making Hanibal about the legendary Carthage General as he is perfect for that part.

#1 - I agree, he'd make a great Hannibal. I'd rather see that movie than another crime drama.

Didn't Diesel announce that Hannibal would end up being a trilogy?

Hannibal is such a long saga... a trilogy would make a lot more sense, but will the studio really be willing to invest that much money and time into the project?

I doubt it, lracors. Vin Diesel's been very hit or miss at the box office, so I doubt a studio would bankroll a trilogy unless they shot everything at once, ala LOTR, to save money.

ROCK FISH!!!
I am looking forward to hearing Vin Diesel's voice in the roll of the rock fish fisherman. Way cool short film apparently coming to theaters thanks to Vin Diesel's desire to participate.

I'd like to see Hannibal too.

Though this cop movie might be good.
I like the actors in it.
