While doing press for FIREWALL, Virginia Madsen commented on a rumor about her possibly playing Mrs. Indiana Jones.

"I think that's the best rumor I ever heard about myself," she said. "I so hope it's true, but no, we never really talked about that. I talked to Harrison about it, as a fan. 'Are you really going to do another Indiana Jones movie? Have you found a script yet?' I don't know whether that was something that somebody picked up that he said. I don't know. I'm going to see him next week, but I'm too shy to ask him. I hope it's not a rumor that's ruining my chances."

am I the only one that thought Candyman and its sequels was pure crap?

If she is cast as Mrs. Indiana Jones, that'll make things as interesting as I expected them to be if they were bringing back Kate Capshaw and Karen Allen. Kind of a cool bombardment of Indiana's women around him when he possibly least expects it or least appreciates it. I think that that would be fitting.

While briefly working at a prop shop, I heard another rumor about a potential son and casting of an unknown who very much looked the part. BUT seeing as they're still finalizing a script, who knows what will happen.

I've never seen Candyman, but I do agree that Virginia Madsen is very attractive.

This is a very interesting comeback. She was a pretty hot actress in the late 80's/early 90's but then she just vanished. Then came SIDEWAYS, and now she's a name again.

And yes, CANDYMAN sucked. The only Barker-esque moment in the film is when she's in the bath naked covered in blood. Repulsive yet erotic.

I'd write this off as a rumor. Besides, she's still having nightmares of Christopher Lambert and her role in "Highlander 2: The Suckening."

Rumours have it that she's in talks for the ALIAS movie in 2009. Just can't wait!

Hey, #4 -- 'The Quickening' (original theatrical, not Renegade, or Director's, or Producer's cut or whatever) was a great movie -- you just need to forget that pesky "Highlander" tag at the beginning of the title.

LOL, good call jeditemple. Highlander 2 made absolutely no sense in respects to the original. I liked Candyman. However, I was taking classes at UIC when it was filmed & came out, so maybe that was the allure of it for me, since scenes were filmed there. Then again, thats more than 15 years since I've seen it.

Madsen: Are you really going to do another Indiana Jones movie? Have you found a script yet?

Ford: Hold on, my false teeth just slipped. ... Now, what were you saying? Oh, hell, hold on. My hearing aid is turned down. Now...

>but then she just vanished.

After appearing in Dune, she checked herself into a mental hospital that specializes in treating actors who work with David Lynch.

Why is this quote being recycled now? I heard/read this back in February when Firewall came out.
This is old news, is there a reason its relevant now?
