With the news of Paul Bettany being announced as The Vision, the hype for Avengers: Age of Ultron has hit a new high. Now reports of his costume design have surfaced as well. Again Marvel knows how to keep us on the hook for the sequel. is reporting the following, from their source at the Daily Mail. It seems as if Bettany was spotted with future co-star Jeremy Renner at Shepperton Studios in London: It has a helmet akin to the Iron Man armor, but it’s designed more like a face than a smooth Stark helmet. The iconic yellow and green are present in the design, but it’s more metallic shades than bright ‘comic book colors.’ They said it reminds them somewhat of the T-1000 fromTerminator 2 but it’s not as shiny. The yellow metal “liquid” bits seem to light up. This may or may not happen since there are two designs for that section. One lights up the other doesn’t. That’s the only difference. The cape is present, but they say it appears to only “pop out” when in flight mode. The cape sports some similar shades of yellow as the body. The “neck pieces” are the same yellow but they seem to shift positions from ‘standing’ (for lack of a better word) to ‘flight mode’.”

No description of the helmet/ headpiece yet. This of course is not official, until Marvel or Disney releases a press statement or image. What do you think Maniacs?

Vision is sounding like he will be the coolest character in the Avengers (other than the Twins). Bring it on!

Only drawback is the lack of being able to show expressions.  This film is really going to be packed.  Is Whedon competing with Singer for most actors in a superhero film?

I really would like a stand alone Hulk film with Ruffalo.

Twins? Do you mean Ms Marvel?

Wiseguy 2/8/2014 7:58:15 PM

I hope he looks human and not like a robot, outside of the colors.

The crowded film thing is no big deal, it's an ensemble film and Whedon has shown a knack for that. Besides most of the characters are fairly well developed that we don't need to get to know them all over again.

Wiseguy 2/8/2014 7:59:00 PM

kinetoscope the twins are Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch

If one thing that Whedon knows how to do, is an ensemble cast.  He pretty much only works with teams.  Like Wise said, all the major characters get their back stories from their own movies.  As good as the first Avengers was, this is already looking to be better. Can't Wait!!

Glad they're not painting Paul Bettany's face red.  Surprising, since most actors won't go a whole movie without showing their faces.  Much respect for Hugo Weaving and V for Vendetta on that score.  Rumor had it a few years back that Vin Diesel didn't want to be HALO's Master Chief becuase he didn't want two hours where no one could see his face.

More often thatn not it's actually the agents not the actors...
