Viz Details Naruto Extras

The ICv2 site is reporting on the two disc Naruto the Movie 2 release due out on 07/29/2008 in regards to its extras which haven't been talked much yet. The release is set to include, "a special feature on "Creating the World of Naruto 2;" another feature on how to "Write and Adapt Like a Ninja;" plus "Words From Japan," "Production Art Gallery," "Original Storyboards," and the "Original Japanese Movie Trailers." In addition the disc will also include a trailer for the third Naruto movie, Naruto the Movie 3: Guardians of the Crescent Moon Kingdom, also known (more literally) as Naruto the Movie 3: Great Excitement! The Animal Panic of Crescent Moon Island." The article is interesting in that it states that extras aren't often brought over and subtitled for US release. While extras have never been as copious as Hollywood, a good number of releases in the last several years have had most extras brought over, if not all, and many have had quite solid original extra content produced as well. FUNimation's release of Witchblade is a strong example of a series that had a lot of the Japanese extras brought over as well as a great selection of original extras.
