Toward the end of 2007, Viz Media finally eked out one last volume of Hikaru no Go after moving it to a terrible release schedule and then never spoke of the show again. Like a few other dropped before their time releases, the company moved on to other titles and worked from there, often refining their release strategy based on what they learned. With their recent push on Hulu and their own site, the company has started to bring out some of these shows again, such as Hikaru no Go and Prince of Tennis, but haven't indicated how far they'll go.

Today, launched the first unreleased episode of Hikaru no Go, episode 46, subtitled only. Prince of Tennis should follow suit within the next few weeks based on their current episode loading program. No schedule has been announced for how often we'll see episodes or whether it will run for the next 30 episodes to bring it up to it's 75th and final episode. You can watch the latest episode below as every view will encourage to continue bringing out new episodes.

Humph.  Here I had hope that I could finally buy DVD's of this series.  Instead I'd have to watch it on my computer -- ugh.  I suppose this could be a tiny ray of hope for an eventual DVD release but until it actually happens, my boycott of all Viz anime shall continue.
