VizKids Line Being Bolstered

Viz Media is talking about its expansion plans for the VizKids line-up with ICv2 today. The imprint part of the company has announced four new manga series recently to help expand its line-up with BakeGyamon, Happy Happy Clover, Leave it to PET and Dinosaur House which joins Pokemon and Legend of Zelda.
VizKids is also the label under which the Blue Dragon anime will be released which explains why it's getting only an edited for TV dub only version instead of a proper bilingual release. This is something of a surprising move since VizKids is a company that's based on manga, which is based on reading, and you have the opportunity to introduce kids to reading subtitles at a younger age and thereby expand what they'll be receptive to with the other series that the parent label is releasing. With Viz Media talking about the possibility of subtitle only releases in the future and the growing trend of online streaming for revenue generation, accliminating the younger set to reading both manga and subtitled shows would seem something worth pursuing.
