According to NarniaWeb, a new, but unnamed, director has been chosen to replace Andrew Adamson for the third installment of the Chronicles of Narnia series.

Adamson is not directing the third film due to other commitments.

The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is set at sea to the east of Narnia and includes scenes on a series of islands that are quite distinct from one another. It has been suggested that the island nation of Malta is one location under consideration.

Shouldn' the headline read: "Treader" Doesn't Have Director?

I didn't care much for the Chronicles of Narnia, but the kids loved it, so they'll be glad to know there's going to be more.

Since it takes place on a ship I just hope they have a scene of Susan sunbathing in a bikini (Yeah I know, Susan doesn't appear in the book but it should be evident that continuity isn't exactly a priority for me) ;>

Malta can provide some excellent scenery. I hope that works out; should enhance the magic of this fiilm.

I loved Narnia, and I am thrilled more is on the way, but lets get a second out of the gates before speculating on a third.

I agree madman. After reading this I thought to myself, "did I miss something? Did the second one come out already and I didn't notice? Am I slipping?"

I'm not a big fan of the movie and thought the books were a child version of other old style fantasy stories, but my kids like it and want to see more.

I could care less about this...

I'm looking forward to this one. A lot of people think it's the best of the Narnia books.

I just hope the werewolf is still in Prince Caspian.

His other commitments are finishing the 2nd film, since the third will start filming when the 2nd is in post production. They want to cycle the movies out once a year, so they need more crews.

I read that all on IGN yesterday.

I too am looking forward to this.
