
The man behind the V mask, Hugo Weaving, about the character:"I think he's living under a fascist regime, so even though he's on a vengeful mission, a personal mission to kill various members of that regime, he's also a liberating figure. There's a sort of duality about him; he's not just sort of a simple heroic figure and nor is he just a simple villain. You have to think about him and that's an achievement in itself that you come out of the film having to sort of think about it."
