While producer Mark Johnson and distributor Walden Media didn't have the best of luck with Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, the two are meeting up again for a new adventure-thriller set around a deadly epidemic. Walden acquired rights to "The Cruelest Miles: The Heroic Story of Dogs and Men in a Race Against an Epidemic," a book by Gay and Laney Salisbury. Sean O'Keefe and Will Staples will write the script. Johnson will oversee production.

Plot Concept:
The novel tells the story of how a team of 20 men and more than 200 sled dogs undertook a 674-mile race against time to deliver a vaccine to combat an incipient epidemic of diphtheria afflicting a Gold Rush town deep in Alaska.

Actually this does sound interesting. I will wait for the trailer to come out to see.

Sounds like Jack London's White Fang. I'm not into these types of movies. Chronicles II was terrible. It was like Lord of the Rings meets the Holy Bible. What I couldn't get around was that Aslan had this great power to destroy these bad guys but doesn't do it till the end of the movie until the little girl makes some kind of personal growth, or some silly shit. So he waits till thousands of guys die than does something. Weak.

I saw this on The History Channel once. It's definitely a compelling story for a movie, I'm surprised nobody's adapted it before. Could be worthwhile, as long as there's no talking dogs or Cuba Gooding Jr.
