WALKING DEAD Aims for Long Run? As long or longer than the Simpsons? Really? I LOVE me some Walking Dead but longer than the Simpsons? That seems just a bit much. How much story do they have to keep it interesting?

Supernatural for example ended with season 5 as far as I am concerned. Season 6 is just a big old pile of crap. The same thing happened to Smallville. Too much show and it runs out of steam.

Even Matt and Trey have said South Park has an end in sight some day.

BTW, I stopped watching the Simpsons years ago. It is just not funny anymore. The same could happen to South Park. The same could happen to the Walking Dead. It's coolness could just run out.

That is why I like the idea of the new Game of Thrones series. It will actually have an ENDING. Well, once George finishes the books that is. But it will happen, some day.

Most shows aim to run as long as The Simpsons... especially through the producers eyes when its a cash cow.

@axia - I agree with you Too much show and it runs out of steam. AND Supernatural, even though there have been a few good episodes this season, DEFINITELY should've ended at 5.

yea axia i agree it would be cool but as it stands right now the comic is only in the 80's mark. I wouldnt do any kkind of story telling past it. Staying true to the comic is a big part of the success of TWD

ah dear annie I can see it now-

annie lives in a run down project in the hood who has to put up with a pathetic version of a run down orphanage having to deal with drive buy shootings and drug dealers and everyone breaks out into song singing Jay z's it a hard nock life- with willow singing jay-z lyrics and the kids doing back up.Quoting my favorite dog Snoopy- BLAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!

and axia if comedy central doesnt release season 14 completly uncut on april 26th I have a feeling season 15 will be the last along with one more movie to top things off. Things have been tense with comedy central and Matt and Trey ever since 200 and 201 aired. Mat and Trey have said in the past that they would do a movie to cap everything off and to say goodbye to the fans. Its a shame they cant bring back chef again for the movie.

South park ha to by contract do a 15th season but no announcements have yet been made to renew the show after that season

Captain Canuck : lmao that awesome and Im glad that they are mocking us for it , Marvel shouldnt change the name, the character is Iconic, and his character is well known around the world, When they killed Steve Rogers off a few years ago , it was in the world news media as well as here. They may hate us but they love our comics , movies, tv and music.

The Walking dead: im all for it staying on as long as it stays freah and well written and till it catches the books, cause there are tons of things from the series that i want to see on the show

Most all the news is good.

I suppose Smith's remake of Annie will have to include Jay-Z's "It's a Hard Knock Life" which he sampled from the original song from the musical.

I figured Snyder would film in Canada hence doing so for Watchmen and 300.

Walking Dead, maybe try going for 7.

Just read the news about casting for Dark Tower, apparently Javier Bardem is being offered the role. Which is awesome because he hasn't really been on the big screen that much. Bale is also a contender, so if Bardem doesn't want it, Bale would be likely be cast, although I'd like to see him as a villain. They're apparently planning to film two movies and then run a T.V series between them, hopefully on AMC.
