I think they need more speaking lines LOL Just so we know they exist. They're not serving any purpose right now if they don't interact with anyone (although, they will probably make great Zombie food in next week's bloodbath! Maybe that's their purpose?) LOL

For the record, I don't think Shane thought for a second that Rick had the balls to kill him.  That is why he was prodding him like he was, because Shane was so self righteous he thought he was so much superior to Rick.  (Hell, if Shane thougt Rick was to weak to kill Randall, of course he thought he would never to anything to his lifelong buddy.)

Of course, that's just my take.  It is just as good/bad as the "Shane wanted to die" stance.  Even as I read those words in quotes, I just can't buy that for his character.  :)

Ya I believe that was Otis' widow and herschel's son.  With this many characters someone has  to get the shaft I guess

Herschel's son and wife were in the barn as walkers. The guy was an ex-boyfriend of Herschel's youngest daughter. Remember she talked about him when Maggie was trying to get her out of bed.

The woman was Otis' widow.

Damn, I'm so looking forward to the season finale and wish they would have given it 90 minutes. It looks to be a mini-movie, with a full on invasion on the farmhouse.

I just started reading the comics and I am assuming the next time we see Meryl he will be in the fights that the governor has. He may even be one of  the governers lackies.  Yeah, that has nothing to do with the topic at hand, but I thought I would throw it out there anyway..

Solid "A" in my book.  I enjoyed the comics very much and I'm loving the show.  The way they handled the character of Shane is way better in the TV series.  Kirkman even agreed that he should have not killed him off so early in the comics.  I knew he was going to die before I watched the episode and I was still tense.  Kuddos!  Keep it up.  Let the zobie feast begin.

G671:  It was Hershel's son and Otis' widow.  They have little speaking parts, but, to be fair, they didn't contribute much in the comics either.  We have enough story lines going and a herd of zombies on the horizon.  I wouldn't invest too much into those characters.
