Oldboy was one hell of a thriller. Any adaptation I have seen of Asian films here never do it the same. I'm concerned with them remaking it.

Yep, definitely excited about Zack Snyder's Superman! :D

The Deadpool news isn't really news. It's a guy talking about how much he enjoys writing Deadpool. It's good that they plan to start filming next year. We'll see how that works out.

Glad that Walking Dead got the 2nd Season Extention...it's a great show, and I do enjoy watching it...I like the little things about the show that you wouldn't think about, but they bring to light. Plus, it makes my Walking Dead Comics become more interesting to read (again)

Singer's Superman had a chance to be different, and it ended up being a carbon copy homage to the original. His loss, and he's still bitter about it, no matter what he says/lies about.

Deadpool needs a bit of a push to those who don't really know him. It would probably be in Marvel's best interest to make a couple of animated shorts of just him alone, to get other people's interest. I'm stil down with him though, because, really there's no other choice.....

All of this sounds cool, but here's the thing. The Caprica series is airing the last episodes in Canada and not in the states. The Canadian version of SyFy annouced it a few days ago.

I'm not suprised, but still pleased that TWD got another season.

With as much hype, and then pay-off, it was bound to happen. And yes, by pay-off I mean that it actually backed itself up with the hype.

I'm impressed with the direction it has been going. But I've never read a comic on it.....yet.

I enjoyed Oldboy, I'm just not sure about an American version.

The original had that shock-moment because most had no idea what to expect of it til the end.
I don't see an American version beng able to generate that same feeling, since most will have a general idea of the outcome unless they haven't seen the original......which my guess would be.....

"A majority of the people will have already seen the original, thus knowing what to expect. Therefore, being unable to generate that shock-value."

Old Boy shouldn't be remade, I don't think it should have been made in the first place.  I watched it a few years ago and was not impressed.  Perhaps it was one of those things where several peeps told me it was so great that my expectations were too high.  But my Western sensability just didn't jive with it.

Good news about Walking Dead.  I am pretty surprised about it doing so well.  I had not even heard about it till I read the glowing review here on Mania.  So as soon as it was available on AMC's website I watched it and liked what I saw.   Kind of bummed I don't get AMC in HD though.

Hell yeah for Walking Dead.  I think the episodes or story arcs that are derived directly from the comic book series are always going to be my favourites, but the Sunday night detour into new territory was an entertaining addition.  Not sure where the racist douchebag came from, or what Glenn was thinking taking that many people on a scaveging run into the city...Andrea seems a little older than she was in the comics, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.  Good stuff so far.

Who the hell cares what Singer thinks about the new Superman project?  Superman Returns had it's heart in the right place, but at best it wasn't really much more than a beautifully shot, well acted retread of the character as he was portrayed thirty years ago.  They worked so hard to find a good Christopher Reeve impersonator but didn't extend the same effort to any of the other characters, and it felt  pretty contrived.  Regardless it's time for a more faithful direction.  Singer is a talented director, but he takes far too much unecessary artistic liberty to adapt long running comic books to my satisfaction.  There winds up being far too much Bryan Singer, and too little of the comics.
