conundrum, I'm sure you're right about Sophia. That would make sense given they're touting this show as the mid-season finale. I hope I do like it and expect to like it. I just didn't care for ths week's episode, and apparently I lot of people are annoyed with me for that.

I'm with you Joe...most of it anyway.

I appreciate the support jedi. for the most part.   ;)

Quick question, did Lori, who I assume is 6-10 weeks pregnant, ask Glen to get her "morning after" pills?

JoeArtistWriter 11/23/2011 4:38:38 PM

hanso, that is my understanding. If memory serves, Glenn volunteered to get her whatever she needed. I believe her request was unspoken, but Glenn brought back the pre-natal viatamins as an option in case she changed her mind.

JoeArtistWriter 11/23/2011 4:39:17 PM

or rather her request was spoken off-camera.

hanso 11/23/2011 4:54:33 PM

Ok Joe.  My understanding of that pill is that its called the "morning after" pill because it has to be taken fairly quickly (one to two days) after having unprotected sex in order for it to be somewhat effective in preventing a pregnancy.

I'm no chick so maybe they have another understanding of the pill but I've never heard of a woman being weeks pregnant and thinking that taking "morning after" pills will get rid of the baby.  I'm guessing that's what abortion clinics are for.

I guess what I'm trying to get at is that with my limited knowledge of the "morning after" pill, the whole Lori/Glen/Rick thing doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

Joe, first off: I really like that you respond to posts about your articles and defend yourself.

And your statements defending yourself make sense.

By all over the place I dont mean a F to a B, but when I saw an episode I really liked (few times this season) you said 'eh' and gave it a B. Then there was one I didn't really think was amazing and you gave it an A. forget which one it was. I know it's all personal opinions, but that's why I said 'all over the place'.

I still think its ok to 'drag' out the Sophia plot line because they know how the pacing is planned and I feel they know the things they set up, slowly at times, will pay off down the road. There were times people are complaning about something stupid being said or done in an episode and in the very next one the characters say the same thing everyone else is saying....meaning the characters are acting and thinking basically like 'real' people would in a situation. So what feels like forever for the Sophia thing to viewers, is exactly what the writers meant to happen....again, I think.

I still think not remembering what she looks like is crazy though, but that's just me.

I believe the reason Rick moved on from the whole Shane thing is he had an idea something had happened already. However, I don't think that's the last we hear about it from him. He'll deal with that at a more apropriate time. This will be a catalyst in an upcoming Rick vs. Shane throw down.

But right now, he's trying to convince his wife a child makes sense in this Walker eat man, and man's best friend, world. Rick is a leader. He knows how to manage people.

BTW - I still think Merle has Sophia.

So, since Mania screwed up my super long response, and I already whined about it, I'm just going to go with a single thing people seem to be talking about-Rick's reaction to Lori.

I think it's perfectly in line with Rick. If you look at his character, and how he's portrayed, coupled with Lori in an earlier episode saying she started fights with him, even if she was wrong or nothing was at issue, just to get a rise out of him, to see if he'd get mad.

And in this sense, it's Rick's own sense of honor and loyalty to those he loves that he seems to understand what happened between her & Shane. I mean, honestly, if the world was going to crap, and my famliy believed I'd died, and I knew my best friend was there to protect them, I would believe the possibility of my wife getting with someone else. So when he tells Lori that he was thought dead by them both, that he understood why you would think that chapter was closed, it's perfect for him to do.

As for Dale, again, if you find a connection with someone, and you watch out or look over them, to see them wind up with the scumbag douche of the group, you will step up for it. How many of us have been cautious of new boyfriends to our daughters, nieces, or sisters? Dale is capable, calculating, and as rational as Rick. He picks his battles, and I think this was an instance of him finally boiling over at something he's known about for a while-the suspicious actions of Shane.

Lastly, Joe, I agree with everyone else-the fact that you come on here to write and discuss, and are willing to hear criticism speaks volumes of your own character.

I just really didn't see this as a C. But that's MHO
