What the hell were those 2 dudes thinking getting back in the car with The Gov?  They had him dead to rights when he went into the field to shoot the dead in the head.  I know you can be in shock by someone's actions, but that was just plain dumb.

Loved the stuff with Carl taking on the mantra of The Gov's Kill or Die or Die and Kill.  Kid's logic is sound, but there's a better way to handle things even in the Zombie apocalypse.

Also, I'm not sure why they would go back to the prison.  The Gov's gone off we know not where, but I'd think that Woodbury would still be more secure especially with the folks they brought to the Prison.  Maybe it's just the bad taste the town has left in our group of survives, but I'd still think Woodbury would be better than the prison for security.

I agreed with you redhairs, at least last night I did. Why not stay in Woodbury, it's almost certainly better supplied. But I think logistically it may be harder to defend, plus the Gov would know all the ins and outs better than anyone else.

The prison is more straight up and easier to defend.

I thoroughly loved this episode! I was quite surprised that it wasn't the huge war we were all expecting, and that made it even better. I love the fact that the Governor isnt dead and can pop up again when we least expect it.

I love where they are taking Carl's character. I don't feel so bad about what Carl did in killing that guy. The boy was told to drop the gun, but he didnt. He chose to continue to approach Carl in a manner suggesting he would hand over the gun, but suppose Carl hadnt shot him and he whipped the gun around and shot one of them...everyone would be saying "Carl shouldnt have trusted him since he didnt drop his gun." Then add in what he told Rick when he was questioned about it. I remember being so pissed at Carl for wandering off every 15 minutes last season, and now I see so much potential for him.

I didnt hate Andrea nearly as much as everyone else did. I didnt really hate her at all. I wasnt fond of her. I was hoping she would live to see where they would go with her character. I completely and utterly despised Lori. Hated her with all heart. And I was so glad to see her go that I was totally unimpressed by her death speech. I could not have cared any less for anything she had to say, I just wanted her to die. So my feelings for Andrea were quite less hateful, and I felt sad when she died.

I know its going to be a long 6 months until October. I guess its time for me to go watch the Game of Thrones season premiere now.

Im glad that bitch is dead but fu.k the writers for who ruining the character.  They gonna do the same to Tyrese who was wasted this season cause all he did was tell people he wanted to contribute everytine be showed up.  And going back to the prison?  Such BS.  And the ghost Lori needs to end 2. it all to hell

Well, I'm in Camp Disappointed.  This did not seems like a season finale to me at all - more like a mid-season filler episode.  I didn't hate Andrea enough to be glad she's dead, but I really don't have any strong feelings about her dying one way or the other.  I was thinking, "It's kind of sad, but bitch pretty much dug her own grave."  While Carl's darker turn was interesting, it seemed a bit out of left field for me.  Didn't he apologize to somebody who had shot at him first just a couple of weeks ago?  Overall, here's how it stands for me - I'm used to jumping up and down at the season finale of Walking Dead.  I'm used to screaming at the TV.  I'm used to checking my watch every 5 minutes to see if October is here yet.  After this season finale, I really don't care how fast October gets here.  It wasn't disappointing enough for me to abandon the series altogether, but this finale was severely lacking in everything that makes a good season finale, IMO.  I would give this episode a C or B-, tops, but as a season finale, I give it a D.

I would probably agree with the view this didn't feel like much of a finale.

Andrea's death really failed to have a whole lot of impact.  Even those who DIDN'T want her killed off, were almost left with wanting her dead watching that episode.  The writing between her and Milton was great.  However, her staring at him, knowing he's dying and going to turn into a zombie, instead of working to get herself free.

As for Carl - Rick summed it up best, it's easy to forget he's still a kid sometimes.  I think he made the "smart" choice in taking that shot.  However, I don't think it was the "right" choice.  Carl is making choices for the good of the group, without having learned the compassion to deal with outsiders.  A slippery slope that Rick had started to go down as well.

I don't remember who said it, but I agree, the kid needs to have his rear end beaten a bit.  Be a father, put this kid back in his place and treat him like the child he actually is.  Stop letting him run around with a gun.  He won't like it, but maybe, just maybe he might not end up being lil' Gov'na

One of my impressions as to why Rick brought the seniors back to the prison is that he realized that Carl is starting to turn to a dark side and that it was purely his fault... Showing compassion for these helpless people and bringing some much needed humanity back to the prison, where they've totally been on edge for a very long time, could provide a great, hands-on lesson and try to bring some balance back into everyone's lives.

Keeping and holding on by a thread, to the values that make us human is incredibly important - even in this "new" world; I would say more iportant than ever.

I will say that's the one thing that the Governor had done right - creating a safe haven for people to feel safe and be able to live a relatively normal life. His problem obviously became seeing EVERYONE, not just the undead, outside that safe haven as a threat  - literally seeking out to hunt and kill the living.

I liked the fact the the Governor went #apeshit... showed how crazy he was to his own people. But like someone else mentioned the two dudes who got in the car with him were a couple of pusses that had their chance to take him out and take over the town... smh

Carl? He was straight #badass but yeah I would have took a belt to him too if I was Rick

violator14 4/1/2013 10:53:24 AM

I think if Rick took a belt to Carl's ass, Carl would have probably shot his dad in the head afterwards.
