Whatever happened to "Jet Li's last ever martial arts movie"??

This has the same plotline I've seen in every Steven Seagal/Van Damme movie ever made.

I like both actors, and I'm sure it will be well done... I'm just not sure there's anything new or exciting here.

chirop.... go back and watch the "Fearless" trailer again. It was his last martial arts "epic", not movie. There is a significant difference between a typical Americanized martial arts action flick and some sweeping Chinese epic taking place in historical Asian lands with grand cinematography and graceful stunts.

Get the statement right, and learn what epic means.

Sounds like someone ate urine flavored Cheerios this morning...

^^^They have those now?? lol.

sorry chirop you were just off a bit there. i agree that in initial form it doesn't seem that original, but the actors and directors can make each movie their own. Hopefully it will have good action and performances and I look forward to seeing jet Li as more of a bad guy.

I just hope they don't cop out and set up Jet as a bad guy to only have him doing it all for some noble good guy purpose. I want him to be a scumbag and no teaming up with Statham. Make it a real war.

Lol, maybe they can have a big Wushu firehose battle!!

LOL! That's usually a sign of a bad "martial arts" movie: when they whip out the firehose (no entendre intended). That and a rap soundtrack by DMX or some other grade-b rapper.

@sharpe95th

I'm not a big rap fan, but even I know that DMX isn't just some "grade-b rapper."

Saw the trailer for this flick attached to Die Hard...and it looks like your typical French directed, straight to video crap. Statham deserves better.

Jack Crawford from the FBI? The dude from Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon? Really? That's just...bizarre.
