I really enjoyed this episode.  I'm glad they finally opened the Cthulu door.  I expect the Necronomicon (isn't that a convention of necropheliacs?) to show up at some point.

Warehouse 13 is getting its own review now, sweet!

I thought the ep. was OK.  I think they have done a poor job of setting up Claudia as a threat, though.

And the deal about Artie unleashing an evil by using the astrolabe... I still don't buy that the evil to be let loose will be any worse than the effects of the Pandora's box that Artie prevented by using the labe in the first place.  So why would he want to reverse the effects if it could make things worse?

We'll see how they develop these things in the coming episodes.  The best part of this show is the interaction between Pete and Myka, and we got a little bit of that.  Just gald to have it back!

is it just me or is Claudia getting all the best scenes, and therefore making her the only character you really care about throughout ? I mean Pete's funny, and i love watching him and Myka work together and Artie is....well Artie( can't really say much more ), but when it comes to Claudia she has the most interesting and most memorable scenes throughout, especially in this episode.

I couldn't agree more Best, Claudia is getting the best scenes of the show and I didn't think she was the key part of this show. I didn't know that she was the lead character. I rather enjoy Pete and Myka they are very funny and have a great chemistry. I am a little bias because I went to school with Eddie aka Pete. We grew up in the same small town in Ohio. I like how they incorporated that into the show. I am excited about this season. I follow Eddie on Twitter and facebook, and I know I have not mentioned Artie. I think it is because he is my favorite character. I think he keeps the group together and they need to really bring this vision together with him. All in all this was a good episode.

Good episode.  I would have liked a little more explanation on how exactly that silver key worked and why only certain people could see it.  It seemed to be that it only worked one people present in a room when the infected person walks through the door.  But then why was Mika effected both on her cell phone with Pete and when she got to the gym.  Mika and Pete both came into the woman's house after the fact and had no problems seeing the woman herself in the closet and no monster like her husband saw.  I know it's nitpicky but it had me wondering about it.

I'm a little hazy on specifics from last season as it's been a year since I saw any of it (the bad part of a series like this).  Didn't Pete's Mom have something to do with the mission Jinks was on when everyone thought he had gone rogue?  I figured that was the reason behind her change of heart and helping Claudia use the metronome.  She felt guilty in having knowingly order Jinks on a mission to his death, so she helped bring him back.

As for Jinks' condition, I would believe that stopping the metronome would kill him immediately even if he hasn't had some "greivious injury," but they could always restart it or redo the ritual to bring him back again.  The metronome is his heart beat now and if it stops, he stops.  At least that's the impression I get.

Our friendly reviewer needs to work on his spelling.  Last week he misspelled Artie's name, this week Myka's.

I too find it hard to think of some consequence to using the astrolabe which would be worse than humanity losing all hope.  Perhaps Artie should explain what happened to Brother Adrian and see if they could come up with some solution together.  Apparently Brother Adrian is an expert on the astrolabe and might have some ideas.
