Warner Bros. Shoot ARROW

By: Karl Schneider

Rob Cohen has attached himself to a new martial arts movie titled Arrow. The movie will be produced by Basil Iwanyk and his Thunder Road shingle via Warner Bros. Pictures.

The script, written by Brandon Noonan, is apparently very hush hush and no details have been released.

Cohen has directed recent films such as: Stealth, XXX, and The Fast and the Furious. He is, however, no stranger to martial arts, having directed Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.

...so, in other words, it's gonna suck. It's hard to believe that this is the same guy responsible for DRAGON: THE BRUCE LEE STORY. He must have been kept on a short leash, to remain faithful to Bruce Lee's story. Somewhere Cohen took a wrong turn.

Cohen's movie aren't always "good" movies, but I always find them to be entertaining att he very least. I enjoyed Dragon a lot, and with his visual style, I could see Arrow being great eye candy if nothing else.

Dragon was not faithful to bruce Lee's story, it was probably 50-70% fiction. Do some research...

Dragon was a good movie, but was definately loosely based on a true story.

You mean Bruce didn't fight a demon on the set of Enter the Dragon?! Movies and television lied to me?

I actually thought "Green Arrow???" and got totally excited then quickly unexcited this will just be another in a long slew of fast car bomb fest which I have grown so tired of.

Iracors, I thought Green Arrow too when I saw the tag for this thread. I'd love to see a gritty urban-based feature on the Emerald Archer.

I don't think I've ever heard a director announcement worded exactly like this.

Maybe I could attach myself to direct the 24 movie.

Here is my Marvel Dream.

Lracors has attached himself to direct Captain America set in WWII for release in December 2006. This young director has a lot on his plate including with this ambitious list of films that, as he quoted, “are tied together.” We cannot wait to see how.

Iron Man - May 2007 (Rumored to have Mandarin and The Hulk)
The Mighty Thor - July 2007 (Rumored to have Loki)
"The Avengers" due out in December 2007, rumored to have Thor, Giant Man, Wasp, The Hulk (Rumored to be Grey???), Iron Man and Vision and the premise is "They teamed up but now they need a leader".

Iron Man II: Titanium - May 2008
Captain America II: The Return of the Red Skull – December 2008
The Mighty Thor II: Balder – May 2009
The Avengers II: Mindless Rage – December 2009 (Early rumors has an appearance by Dr. Strange)

Iron Man III: The Armor Wars - May 2010
Captain America III: Red Menace - December 2010
The Mighty Thor III: Surtur – May 2011
The Hulk Returns - December 2011 (rumored to have Dr. Strange)

The Avengers III: The Kree Invasion - May 2012
Dr. Strange – October 2012 (Finally get’s his own!)
Silver Surfer – May 2013

After this, is rumored to be a three picture arc that takes on the Civil War story line released in December of each following year with every hero having a role in the series including X-Men, Spiderman, Daredevil, and others from the Marvel verse. December 2013, 14 and 15.

As for DC, I wish that they would do Green Lantern, The Flash, and Green Arrow. It would be nice if they actually planned to tie-in the various movie series with each other.
