A 0.12% chance? So you're telling me there's a chance...YEAH!!!

I've wanted this to happen for so long. I love DC & Marvel both by my indoctrination into movies, comics, crap, just about anything in entertainment began with Chris Reeve as Superman and Burton's Batman. I've seen these characters take a lot of crap over the years. DC is too this, DC is too that, and at the end of the day I get sick of hearing it. Warner has potential goldmines on its hands. GOLDMINES! And not just from a financial standpoint but from a legacy and critical standpoint, too. You have got to put this in the hands of people who give a damn. That's the only way it works. If you do what you always did, then you'll get what you always got. There's more to these characters than powers and spandex. I'm not saying you got to have a film with Superman in therapy or not being able to pay his rent but make these guys relevant characters. Don't just go for the big explosion, don't just go for the cheap effects. The ball is in their court. Get WETA back on this ASAP! With LOTR, they already proved they can handle realistic effects. This has so much potential! I hope they dont rush it and mess it up. No disrespect to Marvel, no disrespect at all, but its DC's time now. It just is. I dont want to hear about how Warners is copycatting! Hell, there wouldnt even be a superhero genre in Tv, comics, or otherwise if it hadnt been for Siegal and Schuster creating Superman! He was first and he deserves respect and the argument that they are not relevant is the biggest bunch of certified BS I've ever heard in my life! I don't want to hear about how it can't work, I don't want to hear about Batman being out of place (Watch the Timm/Dini show Justice League Unlimited) and then sing this crap to me about how out of place Batman is.

Again, the ball is in their court. Forget 1997, 1987, 2011, and all the flops. This is a new century! Its time for them to create something that will last the test of time.

Kid you are probably not old enough to remember this, but DC exploited Superman and Bats as their main franchised going back almost 100 years. Superman used to have a movie out every 6-12 months back in early part of the 1900s, they pumped out superman movies on an assembly line. Batman was not as popular due to his darker nature but eventually caught on. DC only needs to look at its own history and recognize a serialized movie franchise they could do the same as Superman would make so much bank. If you were able to produce another Superman movie once a year would you not dig it? Seems like Marvel donig that and maknig serious money.

Who knows? Maybe by the time I'm 50 I'll get to see the Justice League Movie? (I'm 42 at the moment)

I think that they're going to go young for the talent, and depending on the character because they're going to need them under contract for a while....they're going to go to reboot city on Bats and I heavily think that they're going to be watching the numbers on Superman to see if we Cavil again as the Man of Steel....

WW and The Flash, I think are going to be difficult to bring to the screen and keep people interested. I like WW, but the question is going to be how do you play her? In the current 52 reboot, she's a bad-ass who loves to fight...and she kinda portrays that in the Animated Versions of her too...

Shazam would be cool, and Dewayne Johnson WOULD'VE been cool as Black Adam, but he may be too old for it by the time it comes up as a movie...plus who would play Captain Marvel? That's just as important as Black Adam...let's not even get started with Billy Batson

I didn't know you were over 100 yrs old Lazarus and remembered stuff from the 1900s.  That's awesome sir.

hanso 6/8/2012 1:14:58 PM

And Wise, is that a Dumb n Dumber reference?  Cause it's awesome if it is.

if at the end of TDKR, Bruce is hanging out in his Batcave about to call it a day, we see a shadow figure come out of the darkness, then slowly we see red and blue, and it's Henry Cavill, with one line, "I wanted to talk to you about something.." - the movie would easily make 1 billion!!

DarthoftheDead 6/8/2012 1:56:37 PM

I'm getting really disappointed with all this W.B./D.C. crap! They had their chance and what we got was Bat Nipples and a Deadbeat Superman...ENOUGH, I SAY!!!!!

make a billion indeed,hmmphhh!

Well WB had better truly get there heads out of the collective ass they've had in for years. We can talk about all the money different movies have made over at the WB and it still doesn't make them good films. Christopher Nolan is not god and I don't think he understands "the idea of comic books". If WB is putting him on as a guru or something cool, but please don't let him direct anymore comic films. Also I'd be the one of the 1st people lined up to see some good DC work even though I'm a Marvel man at heart.

Honestly an Aquaman movie would rock... Bring on Black Manta. Dude had one of the coolest looks ever. As far as Captain Marvel is concerned, the Rock has already said he wants the role of Black Adam and since he actually grown as an actor I think he could bring the menace factor that Black Adam is to the Screen... And for Captain marvel get David Batista into some acting classes now. Fire Ryan Reynolds as GL right now and hire Bradley Cooper to be Hal Jordan. Reboot the franchise. Please don't let Christian Bale play Batman anymore he has his turn.

Wonder Woman should be done real gritty like she is now in the comics... The Flash, I want them to give me a new take on bullet time effects, cause how sweet woud that be for the Flash. C'mon WB don't get me all excited and then leave me unfulfilled.

DarthoftheDead 6/8/2012 2:35:39 PM

Wow, thanks Omega Dean......thuis is gonna drive me crazy all weekend......Who would make the PERFECT Captain Marvel........
