It'd be interesting to see how they pull this off, following in Marvel's footsteps as they are.

Bet:  WB's rebooted Green Lantern will be the New 52 Earth 2 Alan Scott, and they will emphasize his sexuality to make him "more real".
I'm not starting a debate or being homophobic, but WB/DC is going to look for a "gimmick" to try and get people in the theatres.  It will be a "critical success" but major box-office bomb.

Yeah hanso, from that great philosopher Lloyd Christmas

OK, these are encouraging signs, but they are just the first steps.  As much as I LOVE Nolan's Batman, I don't know how I would feel about him as being the "one vision" guy for DC comic book movies.  He seems perfect for Batman, but Aquaman or Martian Manhunter?  I'm a bit skeptical.  (Appears even more so than Wiseguy... who'd a thunk that?)  :)

The GL movie wasn't that horrible, but they should totally reboot.  The look of the costume really lost me, especially the mask/eyes.  It just looked like it belonged more in a Roger Rabbit film than a live action superhero flick.

Tying all of these characters together in one universe seems like the way to go.  Can't deny Marvel's success there.  However, the most important thing is to make a good movie first.  Pure and simple.

Bring back the entire Bat-Family as a huge TV series and use the Batman from that TV show in the Justice League movie and the Nightwing or Robin in a Teen Titans movie...

I think a JLA movie will do great at the theatres it's first week, but slide quickly afterwards.  It really all depends on which characters get solo movies before JLA and how good those movies are.  I don't like any DC characters, except Batman, the rest seem impossibly cheesy and have horrible super hero aliases.  Booster Gold? Lobo might be good, but Warner Bros. have definitely missed the bus with every DC movie they've adapted with the exception of Batman, and before Nolan took over....well I'm sure I don't have to remind anyone of how bad some of those were.

I could care less about Wonder Woman or the Green Arrow, and if they are going to do Darkseid I suggest they kick it into high gear.  The Avengers are already using Thanos and if I remember correctly he looks very similar to Darseid.  Big, purplish-blue, and they are both aliens....most people not familiar with either character could certainly confuse the two.  I think they should finish Batman and Superman, and leave the rest alone for a few years.  Marvel's license has been on a few stinkers both Ghost Riders, all three Punishers, Daredevil and Elektra (I optimistically thought Ghost Rider: SOV would be better than I read, for once the critics nailed it).  So if they get in a funk, it is certainly possible people will stop going to see them.
