Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver have hired Justin Marks (VOLTRON, GREEN ARROW) to write the live-action version of HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE.
Marks will work from a story that was developed by himself and Neil Ellice. The story will center on a warrior who is touted as the last hope of a magical land called Eternia, which is being ravaged by technology and a despotic ruler named Skeletor.
Joel Silver will produce. Neil Ellice will co-produce.
Mattel will have to formally approve an outline for the project to officially move forward. In 1987, Cannon Films produced a live-action film Masters of the Universe, which featured Dolph Lundgren in the role of He-Man.
