Warner Takes on WEEKEND WARRIOR

Warner Bros. has bought the pitch WEEKEND WARRIOR by screenwriter-actor Bill Birch. Birch will write the script.

The comedy centers on an armchair home-repair enthusiast with no construction skills who unwittingly becomes a superhero who fights supernatural forces bent on destroying the world.

Andrew Lazar (GET SMART) will produce.

I dunno... My Super Ex-Girlfriend got made... ;)

Given the description of the character I'm sure they'll probably figure Larry the Cable Guy or some other cartoon character would sell the movie despite the premise.

The reason this WON"T get made IS the fact that My Super Ex-Girlfriend got made and tanked badly. This almost sounds like a Tim Allen Disney vehicle.
