Denzel Washington is setting his sights on an upcoming comic property out of Universal Pictures just days before Safe House enters theaters. With the thriller poised to launch this Friday, Deadline reports the actor is in talks to star opposite Mark Wahlberg in Universal's 2 Guns, an adaptation of the BOOM! comic by Steven Grant. Contraband director Baltasar Kormakur will be leading the production, based on a screenplay by Blake Masters.
Plot Concept: "2 Guns" is a pulp story about cops and thieves and the men that are something in between. In the graphic novel, Trench has targeted a local bank to rob, and asked Steadman in on the job. Trench figures it's a great way to score – considering it's a cover for mob money. They'll be thieves ripping off thieves. But what Steadman doesn't know is that Trench is a DEA agent. And what Trench doesn't know is that Steadman's got his own secret and isn't who he appears to be.
Ha I saw the title right over Lincoln Vampire Hunter and laughed thinking it was referring to our first President. If Abe is kicking vampire ass George must've been hunting down werewolves or something. Oh that's right it was brit-butt
Hey if nothing else Denzel at least makes me pay attention. Reminds me a bit of something like Reservoir Dogs.
