He met with Isaiah on the subject of bringing him aboard. At first, Washington thought Silverman was just being "nice" but he soon learned otherwise.

On the show, Isaiah Washington will play a mysterious person who is brought into the enigmatic scientific organization" responsible for creating bionic Jamie Sommers (Michelle Ryan).

Does this mean the government will put $6 million dollars into Isaiah in order to make him less of a homophobe?

I got nothing funnier to say.

Let's hope Washington's difficult ego won't muck this new series up. If anything his antics can only bring more publicity for the show. Go Michelle Ryan!! She's tastey.

Damn. muchdrama scores the zing. Congrats.
A half-serious downside to this is that his appearance on this show is gonna dominate late night talk show monologues for some time. That can be good publicity, but it could also mean potential viewers shy away.

Isaiah Washington was pretty much used as the fall guy for the behind the scenes problems of Grey's Anatomy. His only real fault was that he allowed the press, and his enemies on the show (who were secretly feeding the press), to paint him as the bad guy when he denied targeting the alleged comment faggot at TR Knight. As I understand it...the comment was an aside aimed at Patrick Dempsey...with the meaning "I am not going to allow you to push me around like someone you may assume is subservient."

You may all remember...one of the original meanings of the word faggot is "Man Servant." The point??? There is some question as to what meaning Mr. Washington attached to the word when he used it. He, however says it is the latter, and since TR Knight was not involved in the fight between Patrick Dempsey and Washington, other than to play a witness...I see no reason to believe that Washington would have selected him, just out of the blue...to deliver the aside comment about Knight...just for the hell of it!!!

Well, I agree that there were alot of other things going on behind the scenes of Grey`s. I think Isaiah`s biggest and most idiotic mistake was to try and deny what he said, whatever it was, when asked about it in the press during of all things an award show. It is really crazy how it all escalated. Then again, if it was one of the caucasian cast to say "nigger" they would have probably of been fired too. Especially since the creator is a black woman.

I agree, metalwater. I'm more on Washington's side on this one. Although none of us were there I give him the benefit of the doubt on what occurred.
Bionic Woman looks to be a good show. He's a fine actor and he should add something else good to it.

I am very much looking forward to this show and I think Washington will be a good addition. I throughly believed he was unjustly fired.

No, that would take $6 Billion.

Seriously... seriously! -)

Anyway, his addition to the cast may add a little extra cache to the show. Let's just see what happens.
