The Review!
3 out of 5

This CD comes packaged up for the consumer in the classic CD jewel case. Included in the packaging is an informative insert with a song list on the first page. Each individual page has a small picture on the top to show which show the song is from, and then the Japanese lyrics to that song.

This collection of songs can only be described as upbeat. The music entrusted to this CD is much like the many series from which the songs come from, an amusing romp through the character's lives. The tracks are almost all those J-pop type hits that we are all familiar with by now. This CD certainly does keep the toes tapping and the head bobbing. Though most of the songs are hopping, there are a couple that tug at the heartstrings too. However, when it does get to the serious sounds, they are not half-hearted attempts at reality, they have a tendency to put you right in the story, even if you haven’t seen it yet. The music does make the show as they say, and this one makes it all the way to end with a smile. If you remember the joy you felt watching those great Pioneer classics, then this CD will bring you right back to those good old days. With a few slower songs to contend with the faster upbeat tunes, it certainly keeps the attention of the listener. I was highly impressed with the selection of shows that were used in this collection, some of it isn't what you would expect from Pioneer to promote their music CDs, but I highly enjoyed it.

Fangboy says…Upbeat and positive, a real bouncy mix.
