Though BUFFY fans will be eager to see the BBC crafted series, UPN may not be the folks carrying it.
UPN's Dean Valentine addressed the press at this week's TCA gathering in L.A., answering a question about the Anthony Stewart Head starring Giles-focused BUFFY spin-off, THE WATCHER. Valentine gave his assessment of the developing property, saying, "Well, they're only making, I think like six -- you know, British TV tends to order in different patterns and over a different schedule than American television. And also it's British, so I think -- I'm not sure it would really fit in all that well. We're talking about it. I love the idea of doing a detective show and it would be a wonderful thing. I think this one may not be a great fit, and Joss doesn't think so either."
