The trade says that the project isn't titled as of yet but does peg Keenen Ivory Wayans(Scary Movie 1 & 2) as director for the film while all three produce alongside longtime partner Rick Alvarez.

Would someone please tell them to stop making these damn movies! Not only are they NOT FUNNY IN THE LEAST, but they're single-handely destroying western culture as we know it. I know, I know, a lot of people find them funny, but a lot people thought Rosanne butchering the national anthem was funny, too. That didn't make it true.

Sorry guys.Their movies are very funny. They bring a certain dimension that other similar mainstream spoofs don't have.

Please tell me what is the profile of the typical fan of that s kind of humour, because i really don t get it ! that s so stupid !!!!!!I really join wessmith1966.......

What are you guy's talking about!!! These are the guys that brought us the classics Scary Movie, Scary movie 2, White Chicks and Little Man.... I call bullshit, I tried to give Little Man a chance because my wife really wanted to see it, I think I laughed out loud once. I agree that their type of humor appeals to some, but it's not for me.

Well, I don`t think , you can just create a profile of the "typical fan£" of this kind of humor. I also think its ridiculous to even ask the question. We all know humor isn`t something that you can quantify. It is very subjective. I find some one tripping in the street or running into a pole, because they weren`t looking absolutely hilarious while other people may noy find it funny. It all depends on your kind of sense of humor. Humor can be divided by so many factors. Race, religion, Geographical area, etc. I live in London, but grew up in NYC. I don`t get half the comedies that come on TV over here, whereas somethings are just universally funny. Shows like Coupling, Friends, Seinfeld, are pretty much funny to everyone, because of the themes. Obviously, the themes in some of the Wayan Bros movies don`t appeal to everyone.
I tried to watch Little Man, but the idea of a mini Marlon Wayans as a theif, was just stupid to me. On the other hand, Scary Movie 1 & 2 were hilarious to me and so was White Chicks. Its all about the particular theme and personal taste.
And for the record, the Wayans, know how to be funny. I`m not sure what the age demo is on this site, but anyone in their late 20`s early 30`s remembers In Living Color. Those were some of the funniest skits I have ever seen. If it wasn`t for that show, we wouldn`t never had shows like Chappelle Show or even MadTV.
Homie don`t play that!

Funny ha ha you should mention "In Living Color" I think the time is right for a movie of that stuff that is "R". Try to get as much of the old cast as possible, I bet Jim would do a cameo, get some new guys and who knows what the B.O. would bring.

I think that is where the comedy is going for them. I would not mind a good stand up comedy movie with Eddie again also that is "R" also.

I thought "Don't Be a Menace" and "Scary Movie" were funny. Their movies always make $$ and don't cost much so the studios must love them. I don't see a problem with a cop spoof but after "Hot Fuzz" the Wayans have their work cut out.

ponyboy76 • Dec 10, 2007, 09:55am •
Hot Fuzz was funny as hell. I don`t know if this is a good idea anyway, because White Chicks was kind of a cops spoof and I think the whole spoofing on cop flicks has been done to death. It was cool like 5-10 years ago when there were alot of buddy cop flicks out, but when`s the last time a cop flick came out like Lethal Weapon anyway?
I forgot about Don`t be a Menace. That movie is funny as hell too.
