WB: No Biz With Fox

The bad feelings between The WB TV network and 20th Century Fox TV, starting with the departure of BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, continue with word that the netlet has chosen to cancel all pitches made by the latter.
According to Variety, The WB canceled all pitches made by Fox producers and talent as well as sending back seven scripts, including three projects from Imagine Television.
After BUFFY flew to the UPN network, The WB looked to make deals that would secure series for a longer term of time. The trade reports that a number of studios, including Fox, were quite willing to work out these new provisions with the network. So far, though, The WB has yet to reach a new license deal with any studio, with, ironically, Warner Bros. TV being particularly tough-minded about the rights to its shows.
Meanwhile, the only Fox shows on the network are ANGEL and the sitcom REBA, which look to be the last from Fox on the WB for quite some time.
